Expecting over 85K to be in attendance, breaking the previous MLB regular season record of 84,587 set in 1954.

Wish the Braves were better and that Ronald was playing, but yeah, hopefully both teams put on a show like they did Thursday night.

There was one football game there in 2016, and then tonight's game will be the first baseball game. Is that really all it takes for you to be "over it"?

Looks like Cleveland gets to keep the attendance record. I don’t care what convoluted way MLB wants to count, but at first pitch there won’t be anywhere near 50k in the stands let alone the 84+k that actually watched the game in 1954.

Exactly what I was thinking. I love it personally just like I did with the football game between Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

Why not just play tomorrow instead since both teams are off ? I figured that was the whole reason of the off day on a Sunday so they had a fall back plan in case of weather.

Be nice to have this game during the day, with good weather. This is nuts to be playing right now.

They just said contingency plan is 1 tomorrow. The decision should have been made 2 hours ago. Let everyone get back to their homes/hotels and get rested up for tomorrow.

Sucks for Chase Burns. Had a chance to shine on a big stage. 2 Ks the first inning and now will be done. They should have postponed the game immediately. It was clear the rain wasn't going to let up. It would have let Strider and Burns go at it today instead.
