Was thinking the same thing, but hasn't he done a ton of things since MySpace. Just absolutely nothing memorable as I cannot source them.

Apart from the shady side of things I think the market will continue to correct for the next few years. Card shops and businesses that popped up during the Covid boom will struggle to continue to rope in unsuspecting victims and convince them to pay for overpriced/watered down products. Of course, if Brady simply sold the rights to use his name and didn't actually invest any money then I'm sure he'll be fine......apart from any blowback he gets if something dishonest happens "under his watch".
His reputation is that of a cheater who was caught twice by the NFL. Then he became friends with Sam Bankman-Fried for $55 Million and enabled him to do illegal stuff. Moving into sports cards seems like a logical move.

I don't know how millionaire divorces work.

Part of having a lot of money is keeping it out of the hands of the government. If you keep it moving you'll pay less in taxes.

His Fox contract is reportedly 10yrs/375M, does Giselle really have that kind of ludicrous money?

Good lord, 1 year of that is generational wealth; figure $25M after taxes. OK fine, $20M after having to pay all his handlers.

I am curious if anyone has stopped into any of his shops as they've been opening up this year. I will be in Chicago later on this month and plan to stop by the one just outside Wrigley. Have a feeling I know what to expect already and it'll be a 10 min stop looking at overpriced flavor of the day "wOw MoJo l@@k", but if nothing else will be interesting to check it out

The one at Patriot Place is butt cheeks. Small, very little inventory. Tons of yelling coming from the back (online breaking, maybe?).

Trying to make the hobby cool

Most people don’t care or think it’s dumb

Just being honest. I love the hobby but most could care less

Nothing wrong with trying to make trading cards cool.

The problem comes with deceptively presenting them as a good way to make money -- whether from gambling on them or investing in them.

I went to the Wrigley location when it opened. The prices for unopened wasn’t too far off from market. It’s extremely small and crowded when there’s more than a few people in there. Still a cool little place to check out.

They had a decent price on some stuff online…cheap enough that I ordered and I’m a huge cheapo who doesn’t buy much unopened anymore.

Arrived quickly and in tip top shape. Their other prices were right around market.

Took a Quick Look. All their stuff is at market or a bit above market.
