I hope Nat reads these posts, as I know he was a member here at one point. PSA is burning bridges with a lot of people in the registry. Some of my closest friends in the PSA-collecting world have cancelled their memberships. I'm likely doing the same unless something changes for the better. Every time I see a video of a person re-subbing cards and receiving completely different grades, it grinds my gears and confirms my fears that the company simply does not care. I've spent five-figures on grading costs over the last eight years, several with my own account and several through a bulk subber before I was a member. I can't see myself continuing to do that in years to come if things don't change.
I dont think PSA cares about people like you and me.. Just look at the record breaking numbers every months. The market has decided that they want the red label and nothing is stopping them

It's only happened a few times, but these are PC cards and it's awful when that happens. The explanation that makes the most sense is that somewhere along the assembly line, someone got careless and made a mistake.

Just as we speak about this. Another one of my PC cards just popped and it's a damn PSA 5 and I look it over, there is a huge peeled back ding on the card that 100% wasn't there when I sent it in. Zero chance I send the card in like that. Also had 2 other people look at the card before sending it in. As with other issues, they probably snagged a corner in the process since this is one of the large 5x7 Star Hakeem Olajuwon cards.

Already filed a QA request and asked for the pictures from first scan becuase of all the cards I didn't take and grab those picture it was this one. Here with go with them denying it.

Starting to get more and more worried about the rest of my PC stuff I sent.

Dang, that sucks!! Not only did they damage the card, they slabbed it and graded it. Diabolical

Anyone else seeing a slow down from PSA? I have two Value Plus submissions now past the estimated dates. Also, a bulk order that has been in completing for almost a week waiting for them to actually ship it. Earlier in the summer it seemed they were at least hitting their stated turnaround times.

The slow down is being experienced by many right now. It got so bad that PSA had to put up a notice on their website saying that they were struggling to meet their estimates. They claim things are improving, but I am skeptical as I have an order there that was entered on June 3rd and is still in Research and I over two months later.

They gotta process all the higher tier service dropoffs that jump to the head of the line from the National Convention.

Well, that's promising for my order. In my last order that popped a few months back, it got stuck in Research and ID for a long time, then flew through grading, only to get stuck in Assembly for 2-3 weeks.

This is starting to get kind of ridiculous. QA on a bulk order since 7/7. It was estimated done 8/7. What are they doing for over a month.

This is frustrating to see when I have bulk orders estimated on 8/7 and sitting in QA for over a month, but orders that are estimated later just going through.

They don't see to have any rhyme or reason why things go in what order. really annoying to say the least.

Downgrading your grades. It seems like PSA is regrading again after it's in a slab. About a month ago, the grades would pop first then go into QA. Now its back to the old way. You just dont see the tracker move backwards. You used to be able to track this as grades would change in QA1 using the registry trick. Unfortunately they closed that hack awhile ago.

Is this legit becoming a thing?

Becoming? It's been a thing. That was the point of QA1 in the old tracker.

https://www.psacard.com/articles/art...y-destinations

After an initial assessment by the first grader, each card is reviewed again to ensure authentication and grading accuracy. This review was previously titled QA1, and it’s now been folded into the Grading stage.

If you get an upcharge from PSA, at what stage do they typically notifiy you?

Right before "Grades Ready" in my experience. They will email you with the cards being upcharged and you get to see all the grades in the PDF they send you. Seems all orders are reviewed before releasing the grades, so they catch the uncharges at that point and send the email.
