"Official" practices? We practice all summer too but they can't make them official or mandatory.

They've been practicing, going to 7 on 7's, doing team camps. My alma mater has been to some decent sized invitation only 7 on 7's this summer since they have a top 175 player in the country that's a borderline 5 star recruit and the number 7 TE in the 2026 class, plus a WR that has major D1 offers and a QB that has mid major offers plus basketball offers.

They might not be "official", but if players didn't come they won't see the field.

Documented Mr Unhinged for unexcused absences. Turned it in to HR. She said one day last week will be covered by FMLA. I asked if he was approved for FMLA and she said not yet. I asked if he had a doctors note for that day last week and she said he told her about it the day before the appointment. I said did he have proof of an appointment. She asked if I wanted her to get a note from him. I said yes, a note would make me comfortable taking that day off the write up. Then I would just add last Thursday to it.

I just had to help my wife fill out a spreadsheet to rank her own people for layoff.

She couldn't decide between two people. I told her that she is a manager and because of that she needs to make the tough decisions.

She actually told me because she couldn't choose between two people, she might put herself down as "yes" for layoff. I asked her what she was going to do for work then all because she couldn't make a tough decision. Our boss would never accept that anyway since she is the lead.

Went to my parents for a late lunch. Been feeling bad all day, both physically and mentally. Felt so bad that I left my car by my parents and my sister drove me home. My mom will come get me either tomorrow or Thursday to get my car. A nap is about to happen as I can barely stay awake.
