I had tickets Sunday. Unfortunately the power went out and so did my sump pump. And that was that.

Unbelievable rain.

He’s been hot hot lately…6 HRs in 10 games. He had a broken finger, had to be hard as an every day catcher, so can understand the slump with the bat earlier. He’s basically back to last year now…

Skenes vs. Peralta tomorrow. Should be exciting.

The way they smoked Skenes today after dominating the last month...if they stay this hot, they are trouble...

Skenes at AmFam this year - 9.00 ERA, 1.75 WHIP.

Skenes everywhere else - 1.74 ERA, .91 WHIP.

Man oh man what a great time to be a Brewer fan. Most of the team is controllable pre-Arby for a couple of seasons and/or already inked to long term deals...and they have a top 3 farm system in the game. The present is bright, and the future looks rosy as well!

The only thing I'd worried about the Brewers is they may be peaking too early. You're never going to complain about winning, but hard to keep going at this rate for another 2.5 months and mlb playoffs are now all about who is hot in October.

BA just reranked their farm systems this morning. Guess who their new #1 is.

There is no doubt they are clicking right now - and little doubt that a cool off is coming. That said, baseball is, was and will always be about who is hot at the right time - i.e. October. They could win 100 for the first time in franchise history and get bounced in the NLDS. But THAT said, avoiding the 3 game WC meat grinder is massive. Keep playing/winning now, get a bye past the WC round and hope another heater lurks in October. All any fan of any team can do!

So how much do people in Mil credit Stearns for building this team? I always question when media credits one person like nobody else works for the team.

Stearns still gets love and always will for creating the blueprint...but Arnold has been (and deservedly so) viewed as the real mastermind of this current (and future) group. While prospects are just that - prospects until they actually prove their worth in the Show - he has drafted extremely well, and cultivated the right players from Latin America. The mid-season trades to acquire Vaughn and Priester have been almost unfathomably good. I mentioned before in this thread that the Brewers get ragged on by much of their fanbase for not spending much on the big league payroll...but they wisely spend on scouting and player development at all levels. Did Stearns build/install that? Maybe. But for the last four years Arnold has taken them to new heights.

They're scoring runs consistently and with such ease right now.

Unfortunately Brewer Killer Bryan came to play today, so they've given them up with ease today...

Brewers for 100 wins need to go 24-18

To set new franchise record for wins need to go 21-21

In the last 45 days the Brewers have played 36 games going 29-7. Meanwhile the Cubs have played 35 games going 19-16.

18-17 I think, 50-35 to 68-52, not including today’s loss. I only noticed this as they had a tidbit on the broadcast today that Cubs have not had a come from behind win in the last 34 games, 17-17 record during that time. Now 35 games in a row they haven’t come back and won.

Cubs have been brutal with RISP lately and it's up and down the lineup with players choking. They seem to be the polar opposite of how the Brewers are playing.
