Its totally deserved. Dodgers have somehow found a way to score despite Bucknor proving why he is the WORST ump in the MLB right now. I counted six pitches he called as strikes that weren't even close to the zone in that first half inning...

I'll be glad when the robots umps have taken over, but I'm even more excited about the robot players, due in 2027!

Dodgers are 12-20 beginning with the July 4th game when Houston demolished them, so if it feels like they have been a lousy team for nearly 6 weeks, it's because they have been.

It would be very nice to win this one, get a good day's rest and come out strong Friday night versus the Padres, who are riding high.
They are 22-12 since the 4th of July, basically the opposite of the Dodgers.

Wow, we’re the second wild card team right now. Can’t find a way to beat the crosstown rivals. Not confident at all going into this series with the Padres. This team appears to have no chemistry. Bad umps, blow pen let downs (yep, that’s what I’m calling them now), etc. it just seems so off.

Since July 4th, the Dodgers are tied for the 2nd fewest wins in MLB. Rays (11-24) and Nats (11-22) have 11, while the Dodgers are tied with the Giants and Rockies with 12-21 records.

Meanwhile, the Brewers have gone 28-5 and the Padres 23-12.

MLB season so far has been like a see-saw football game for the Dodgers.

1st Quarter: Started fast, huge lead.
2nd Quarter: Played good, not great, but enough to keep the lead.
3rd Quarter: Played as bad for an entire quarter, as bad of any Roberts team ever has, and lost the lead.
4th Quarter: Comin' up.

Of course, for this clup, it only matters what you do in overtime.
40 games to go. Can the Dodgers win the 25 they'll probably need to advance?

If they sweep the Padres, they will have a 5 game lead.
If they are swept, 7 games behind.

So I guess the minimum target is to go 4-2 against the Padres the rest of the way?

I'd definitely send him out for the 7th instead of this recent bullpen.

That’s the same thing I say about the Yankees and their bullpen. No matter who Boone uses it becomes a struggle.
