Dealer Perspective of the 2025 National

This was my 22nd National in a row setting up as a dealer and it is amazing to see how things have changed through the years. This year was our best ever which has been the trend YOY since 2019. From a dealer perspective, the National has been very well run since I have been setting up and this year was no different. It's amazing how they are able to get that many people through the doors (and out of the doors at night) without too many major issues. Chicago (Rosemont) is by far the best location for the National, and I would vote to keep it there every year for multiple reasons. Detroit looks fine for 2028, but I would rather it just stay in Rosemont.
What Was selling?
A little Bit of everything! We have 7 showcases of cards priced $100 and higher and 40 Discount boxes priced $2-10. We usually have dollar boxes as well, but we only had 1 booth this year so we weren't able to bring them. Football was by far the most popular sportswise for both the discount boxes and showcase cards, but many of these are sold to other dealers/flippers/repackers. Baseball, Basketball and Hockey tend to be sold more to collectors, especially cards from the late 90's and early 2000's. This is our favorite stuff to buy and sell and we usually have a good following for these. It's always interesting to see what collectors are looking for. We get a great mix of set, team and player collectors of all different types!

Overall the show was a great experience, especially meeting collectors from all over the world! We are looking forward to being back in Chicago in 2026 and hopefully the positive momentum continues!

Just a curious question...How do you get all your inventory to the National? Ship it on trucks, You drive it in over?? Shipping like UPS (which I would think would be super expensive)
