An actual serviceable Kershaw is monumental. Glassnow, Snell, Yamamoto, Kershaw, and Ohtani/Sheehan is a super formidable starting staff. In the playoffs.

Blake Snell tonight versus Dylan Cease.
Of the Padres Blake has faced, only Luis Arraez has hit him well.
Oddly, Cronenworth, Tatis, and Merrill have not, which should give Snell the advantage with them.
Ohtani, Freeman, and Conforto have hit well versus Cease.

Kershaw was clutch yesterday. They really needed a solid start and he delivered.

This would give them so many options come playoffs. There should not be a need to start anyone on short rest.

Great to see the Dodgers give Buddy Kennedy a chance since he's toiled away in the minors for us all these years...oh wait...he sucks and he's brand new to the organization. Ryan Ward should just go postal at this point

Padres with no runs on 5 hits with 3 caught stealing.

Not sure, but i think it has to do with him signing with the Padres after being traded to the Dodgers at the trading deadline from Balt in 2018. He was being touted as the Dodger 3'rd baseman of the future.

Now up 7-2 versus the Padres, the Dodgers have actually won a season series, which might be their first one won against any of the other NL playoff contenders.

Must be pretty strange for Buddy Kennedy, playing for his 6th team in only his 62nd MLB game, to be in the batter's box in a huge series and also see Shohei Ohtani in the on-deck circle.

5 doubles and a homer for the Padres to creep back in after LA's two homer, 4 run 1st inning.

Yup, turns out it was Vesia, with a BIG assist from Mookie Betts.

Great return to form this weekend, even with Minor Leaguers comprising the bottom third of the order.
Hopefully, there's no letdown versus Colorado, 4 games starting tomorrow.

Fantastic job by the dodgers putting the uppity Padregs back in their box.

Bullpen remains a concern. Hopefully Yates and Scott can make it back. Treinen for sure has the will. Not sure if his body lets him be the man for the rest of the years into the playoffs. Our starting pitching is so stacked, we have six starters. Maybe someone goes to the pen for the playoffs.
