Box of 1999-00 Press Pass

Had the monthly Rip n' Sip with the boys last night. One of my boxes was a 1999-00 Press Pass hobby. One of my favorite years of basketball cards, the rookie class is full of B level guys who were all pretty darn good, but no headliners. Box is 24 packs, 4 cards per pack (but a bunch had extra).



Pack Odds


First, a look at the base cards:



Gold Foil, one per pack



Netburners, also one per pack



On Fire, 1:12 packs



Crunch Time, 1:18 packs



In Your Face, 1:24 packs



Y2K, 1:24 packs, #d/2000



Reflectors, 1:90 packs, #d/250



And then the whole reason I picked this up was because it says, right there on the front, three autographs per box. I pulled one (1:8 packs). I did have another hit though ... a redemption for a game-used jersey card of Lamar Odom .... a true case hit, 1:480 packs (20 boxes). Being 25 years later, it has obviously expired. Interesting that they hand numbered it though.



So shorted two autographs, and my monster hit is useless lol. Tough break ... until next time!

If the box isn't overly expensive, the break is fun, I guess. I miss Press Pass. Many players signed full autographs.

Wondering how the company managed to acquire college/university team jerseys. I could be wrong, but aren't there rules that prohibit these jerseys to be passed around?

Bought them from the school I’m assuming. You never know though I found a game used Corey Simon FSU jersey at a flea market around a year ago.
