Where'd you see it available and what was the price?

I didn't think this was coming out until next week...

Cards look nice, probably will be like $300-$400 a box or something dumb.

The Finest Autograph cards remind me of a Cactus Jack card. Those do nothing for me.

I'm making an educated guess that it's going to be too expensive and I'm not going to buy it.

Id like to see some regular WWE cards again, something focusing on the wrestler and not wacky borders and backgrounds. Let's work on the images Topps.

Even a base set or Heritage would be nice.

You area rarity then, as someone who opened before the big Covid boom made everything desirable sets like flagship or Heritage sat and would have to eventually be pretty heavily discounted. Stuff like this or Chrome is what sell, Finest less than Chrome but still way more than Heritage etc so I doubt we’ll see one unless they do want to put out something affordable.

People see high prices and yearn for these lower end cheaper products but then don’t buy them. Look at Big League Baseball which is now gone or for wrestling the NXT set the first set with on-card from Panini and a ton of huge potential rookies and it sold terribly and had to be massively discounted because it wasn’t shiny or chrome despite being very affordable

Four sets, four Chrome-stock releases with high opening SRPs. I don't think a flagship-style set is coming. Only other set teased has been Universe, a high-end hits-based release.

If there aren't Finest blasters, I'm done ripping for the year ... and I barely sniffed Chrome other than really early on.

Eventually, people will figure out that the demand on a per-wrestler basis isn't there for non-stop premium releases. How long that will take? No idea.

The previous-licensing era of Topps had the right mix of releases and smaller checklists on most of them, which covered all the bases. It gave a variety of stuff and good volume -- but not too much -- on single names where stuff wasn't severely overloaded.

Too often, the concepts and inclusions on something planned to have a low-end price have dumb/kiddy inclusions. That doesn't help them sell -- to anyone.

I've opened both of those products by the case. I think there are a lot more people than you think right now that would tear into lower end releases. The problem wasn't content, moreso over-production.

It's wrestling.. Boxes shouldn't be more than $125 max, period, end of.

When Panini made 2022 Revolution I opened 2 master cases, a half case and several loose boxes. Price point between $60-$75 a box, if Topps had a similar product I'd open it all day long. Panini lost the plot with 2023 Revolution because the price point was too high. (then didn't make 2024)

I don't see how them releasing products like this and making boxes so hard to get at retail pricing is long term sustainable but I've been thinking that for years and I've been wrong. As recently as two years ago I was buying a box or two of every release, not expecting 100% ROI but just because I like opening boxes and like wrestling. A simple concept. I liked both the NXT set mentioned earlier and Revolution and purchased both.

But I'm not the target market, Fanatics doesn't care if Bob in Wyoming buys two boxes at retail prices. And not only the pricing but how they sell their boxes reflects that. Which I'm not happy about but I have other hobbies, if I can't get a box at retail price I'm not going to buy it and it is what it is.

Precisely. Topps banks on those whose only hobby is collecting. I have multiple hobbies. Things are going too far.

It’ll have two autos per box, so I’m gonna take the over.

Yep, EQL. Awful news. Means the regular release will be EQL as well.

All this means is that the fix is in and 99% of the production run will go straight to breakers.

Really fun.

The insert sets seem really cool, I'm going with $349.99

I'll play:

$379.99 presale.
$399.99 actual release.

Amount of EQL box winners in the EQL Discord for Presale: 24
Amount of EQL case winners in the EQL Discord for Presale: 1

Amount of EQL box winners in the EQL Discord for Actual Release: 22
Amount of EQL case winners in the EQL Discord for Actual Release: 0 (won't be offered)

Fvcks given by Fanatics: 0
Percentage of the entire production run backdoored to breakers: 99.2%

I’m done with Topps for the moment. At least anything beyond picking up singles. I’ll stick with UD and AEW. They’re killing it right now and not gouging the hell out of customers.

I’m thinking $250. Even then that’s a lot for Finest, but here we are.

Same here. At this point I'll find a new hobby rather than pay the exorbitant amounts Fanatics/breakers are looking for with WWE cards.

Anything over $150 is a no-go. But this is chrome lite, so I would give it leeway. $200 tops, my opinion. And at that price I’d say no. It would have to be $185 for me to purchase. But I know how you folks are with your wallets, so I’m being realistic.
