I'm actually shocked how fast it jumped from low $500s to ~$700. Literally a couple of days. The high volume of sales is astonishing, definitely group breakers buying the product but I'm curious to know if there's a lot of personal box buyers too.

I have been buying a lot of boxes for myself after seeing a couple breaks and the amount of hits per box. Stuff looks loaded for sure. Also, I would have been buying a few boxes anyway but I always try to wait until it looks like sellers are receiving their boxes to prevent cancelled orders after prices rise. That seems to be the trend of buyers with most products lately, tons of product being bought in the couple day span where it is being received by the sellers. Same thing is happening with Sapphire Baseball right now, and it will definitely happen again next month with Topps Chrome Disney with the actor autos.

Default First Buzz: 2025 Topps The Joy of Baseball Bob Ross X MLB

A tiny part of me is disappointed to see how well these are doing because I wanted to rip. But now I have to sell. Tiny violin problem, I know.

As I was typing a response to say that I was stuck, I got a notification that one box shipped. I think the other is still stuck.

Ripped a few of these, fun rip. Unfortunately in the Collector Boxes there are more prominent QC issues due to the box holder sliding which presses on the top of the card, usually the first 2 or 3 cards of the top packs have this.

I seldom regret my initial-intuitions, as it pertains to committing to something. That being said, I have no qualms in admitting; I 'EFFED UP, BIG TIME, in not pulling the trigger on the Collector's Box case that I had loaded into my cart! Hell; I'm lucky (in a sense) that I was able to snag a single collectors box....nearly 2 hours after the drop (when the product page was all glitchy, and going in and out of stock for quite some time).

The rational me, simply couldn't justify/come to terms with the 50+% price increase. But ya' know what they say about hindsight...??? If we KNEW that the boxes were going to be as..."juiced", as they apparently seem to be, I might've even been inclined to spring as much a $350/per...?!?! (P.S. Don't get any bright ideas for 2026, Topps! )

Tuesday's such a LONGGGG way, away. Good luck to those, ripping!

Don’t feel bad. You almost certainly wouldn’t have been able to actually purchase the case anyway. I don’t know a single person who was able to do so manually.

Trying to calculate odds for autos of the better players, since guys like Ichiro aren't going to have paint splatter /99.

I got a great /50 and a middle of the road auto. The base cards are beautiful. I'll open a couple more today, these are really nice and wish I was able to get more during that release fiasco.

Is there an estimated print run on the base?

Base cards are selling well, even the low end names.

Yeah, wish I'd gotten all my boxes in this weekend. Market will cool off dramatically once everyone opens their packs on Tuesday, but wax prices will increase.

Odds have been easy to calculate based on static number of numbered parallels per box. Don't have the spreadsheet pulled up, but each box has about a 60% chance at a card numbered to 10 or less, and about a 20% chance at an auto to 10 or less.

Based on auctions I THINK about 40/84 auto-primarly the undesirable rookies-have all the runs of color (300 autos per player) and the other half is SPed no higher than /35 per player, being 76 per player. Some guys are going to be lower than that, with no more than 6 or 11 autos.

So I suspect roughly 3/4 of the auto pool is the non SP, meaning every other box yields a better auto-i.e. a Jeremy Pena or better.

Only thing I'd like to calculate now is the allocation of Happy Mistake SSPs to photo variation SP. Both have 20 cards on the checklist and fall a combined 2 per box, but it is clear that HMs are 5-10x harder to hit.

Cumulatively that means there's 13125 total SPs not accounting for the Ross variation. If it's a 90/10 split between photo variation and HMs then HMs are a print run of 65ish..

So base 4200
Photo variation 590?
HM 65?

If HM fall 1:5 boxes? Just ballparking
