Did Drew Sommers gets squeezed on a few pitches last night? I saw his first batter, but missed the next two and saw he walked them.

When we clinch, do you skip a start for Skubal to give him a bit of rest before playoff push?

Do whatever you have to do to make sure he's at his peak (though assuming they are a top 2 seed they get about a week off so I'm not sure any additional rest would be beneficial)

I don't know who the game three starter is for this team. I would feel best about Melton and he's not even in the rotation at the moment.

It's interesting the guys on this team you've ripped to shreds who have been good this year and yet crickets on your boy Flaherty who is making $25 million and sucks.

I've been pretty consistent but you're laughably thin skinned without a sense of humor and only focus on anything negative said about the team like you're part of the PR team.

Flaherty's been Jekyll and Hyde this season. He's either six strong or gets shelled; no in between. I'd be terrified of putting him on the mound in October. His velocity is down too.

It's Skubal, that bum Charlie Morton and then who knows in the playoffs. Melton has the best stuff of the rest and I still don't get why Hinch took him out of the rotation. He should be getting reps to get prepared for the postseason.

Not thin skinned, I enjoy calling you out for being a fickle fan and how you were busy destroying Colt Keith because of 4 games (and he's quite good!) but you like Flaherty so you're as soft as charmin towards him. Be consistent!

They're probably worried about Melton's innings. Honestly trying to baby these pitchers is a losing proposition because it feels like 95% of them end up blowing their arms out anyway (like Jobe)

You would do Morton and Flaherty your 2 and 3. Both on a short leash. Use guys like Melton and Mize for mid long inning relief. Come playoff time, if they get just get through the order twice, that is enough. Give me four good innings and Hinch can do bullpen chaos for the rest. The days of rolling out three horses are gone unfortunately.

The way it's rolling lately it's Skubal, Morton and then flip a coin on Flaherty/Mize. Could potentially see a situation where one is the game 3 starter and the other is not on the playoff roster for the series. This would allow for an additional relief arm. Though the schedule may dictate using 4 starters.

I say Flaherty and Morton because they have post season experience. You want Mize on the roster just in case of them falters. You can bring in Mize and pitch him 3 innings/one time through lineup and save some bullpen. Invariably, they will be a full bullpen game in mix somewhere. It 100% depend on matchups and how well the Tigers are doing.

Watching the game and cruising through 6, but that damn 7th with a grand slam. I guess I’ll hold onto the few Skubals I was going to sell.

And again, but bailed out.

McKinstry as well! The left side is killing the team tonight.

Colt Keith with a great night at the plate, being asked to play a position he shouldn't, here comes regularp to rip him! Still crickets on his boy Flaherty. Be consistent!!!

Also what a trade to get Finnegan!

This place is so quiet while we win. It's like some (regularp) want to lose so they can say "I told you so!"

Can't believe we haven't heard from JV about Charlie Morton during the past week!

I'm not a Charlie Morton enthusiast, but my opinion hasn't changed that he's a perfectly acceptable backend starter. ALL of your (and there are a ton) bad takes you just pretend don't exist. Rough year for ya. Fake fan.

I spent August in Brewer land and fell asleep. Whenever Baseball wasn’t on, anyway. Hard to believe the 2 best teams in MLB this year are my 2 favorite teams. The Brewers fans send their best wishes, until the last week of October anyway. They are not a team you would wanna face, then - right now anyway. They could benefit from a ‘rough patch’ like the Tigers just survived. Take some bad bounce bad luck now, rather than using up all the good luck.

As for today, I expect a LOT of “pitching chaos” to come. Buckle up.
