IDK why they would institute it - you've never been able to ship directly from SportLots.

There's some companies that offer it and I think you may need a Stamps.com membership / use metered postage but its definitely possible.

Yes, I track my three month rolling average in a spreadsheet using a three month average excel formula. I met the criteria for the months that I mentioned. Sorry if I was unclear.

While I am on the topic… when you add cards you can flag them as auto or relic. We need a third option to flag thick cards and then a way to exclude thick cards from budget shipping. I keep getting buyers who purchase thick cards and select budget shipping. I cannot ship a thick card in a PWE. I am considering removing all memorabilia cards and other thick cards from my store inventory. If you contact the seller, they rarely read/reply. Then I am forced to either absorb the cost and risk or fill the order at qty zero which affects my scores.

Yes, I have heard this issue come up before. Not making any promises on when something like this could be implemented (always busy with fixes/enhancements). But I have a question regarding this. Do you think we could have a flag that any seller can set as "non machinable" and then just make a global rule that these can't be purchased with budget shipping. Could be because they are too thick, too large, too heavy (like metal cards), etc..

That would be perfect. I.e 1996 leaf preferred steel are not thick per se but would fall into the non machinable category.

Thanks for considering.

For sellers with experience on both Sportlots and Buysportscards - if you were to start over, which would you pick?

I can see BSC being more enticing from a user interface perspective and the pwe tracking is nice. Sportlots is tried and true and has a user base. Box shipping is nice for buyers.

Which way would you go?

I asked about this years ago - Max suggested I set these ups in a different account - but the fees would be killer. I have many cards I don;t list on Sportlots because I can't exclude budget shipping.

This - It could be at card level or even set level.

On 8/4/2025 I sent email about UPS losing an order for a month and then magically delivering from CA to MA 30 days later with NO receipt acknowledgement or tracking info other than final delivery on the other side of the country. I received a ding on my accuracy score for ~250 cards which has torpedoed by rating for an obvious UPS error. Am I using the wrong email address?
I have a similar issue now - I got an order accompanied with a message that the buyer wanted only "well centered" cards and request a reunf on any that didn't meet his standards. I told him I couldn't guess at what he meant (where was the floor on centering) - these were 2007 heritage cards with a very narrow border that magnifies centering. I told him I could only give what i have - cards that clearly meet Sportlots definition of NM, but I wouldn't send 18 cent cards on an approval basis. I ended up refunding the order and now my seller rating is dinged because I didn't fill this order.

Please share the buyer name so we can block him. The "accuracy" calculation is extremely flawed. UPS lost an order for a month. Even after I provided photographic proof, I got slammed with minus 258 errors on my accuracy calculation because the order was for 258 cards. My accuracy has dropped to 91% and my sales have plunged. Yes, I was on vacation for a week in Aug and two weeks in Sept but my October sales are dismal at $4 and we are ten days into the month. I have 180,000+ cards in my store.

Send us a message on Sportlots, include the Order Number and tracking number. If the tracking number shows delivered, we will at a minimum reverse the accuracy numbers for you because it would show delivered.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is covered somewhere in here, but I think there used to be an option to pay for purchases with money you have in your selling account. I have a large number of cards in my cart, and was wondering what happened to this feature.

Yes, you can still do this. If you have credit in your account "My Account/Account Profile", once you check out your shopping cart, you will see the unpaid order in "My Orders/Pending Payment Tab". Under the column "Credit Applied", click on the drop down selection for this order and apply any money you have in your credit account toward the order. If it is fully paid with credit, the system will process your order within a few hours after you applied the credit.

I think he is asking if he can use from sales without moving money to the credit account. I think if I want to use sales proceeds to cover purchases I need to request a monthly payment from sales be deposited into my credit account. I don’t think I can use sales proceeds directly without first moving it at month end.

Correct, you can not apply any sales earned in the current month. You have to wait until the end of the month when final earnings are calculated for the month and added to your credit account.

@Sportlots - I have been working on an order adding to cart for at least 3 weeks cross-referencing my personal lists and individually clicking the cards I needed from a specific seller...it was taking forever but I was willing to put in the work. Over 600 cards in my cart - gone overnight. I have no idea what happened. Did the seller go on vacation? I emailed them to ask but this is insane I’m not going back to go add all these again. Why would you purge out my cart?!! Just hold my transaction until the seller is back. Insane.

This has been the biggest issue for me. Due to what I collect it takes a long time to find cards and sellers to get the best deals. Counting price and shipping.
I'm talking about 20 or so cards setting for weeks. Then 1 or 2 drops off. I just figured someone else purchased them, but I have had all of them drop off and figured there is a time limit.

That is what I initially thought is that I was too slow but the seller’s entire inventory which was in the thousands is gone from all searches.

Did they set their inventory to "on vacation" or something? It might come back when they return.

When a seller has unfulfilled orders that reach the a certain amount of days (it may be 6), their inventory is taken offline by sportlots, and that could be what happened here.

As a seller I wish they had a function like eBay that said seller is away and will return on x date and fill orders then. I hate that carts are emptied when I set vacation timelines, but I'm often off grid and would hit the sportlots time limit on unfilled orders, so I don't see another option. I know this would be tough because many orders are multi-seller, but I don't think buyers or sellers are excited by the current system.

Bump postage prices to a point no one would buy, that is the only way to preserve carts currently.

Confirmed with the seller that vacation mode was switched on. Definitely not his fault since I understand the metrics and ramifications of unfulfilled orders from sellers, just an overall bad process.

Currently, when a seller sets their inventory to "On Vacation," the system automatically removes those items from buyers' shopping cart to prevent purchases while the seller is away. This behavior was built into the platform years ago and, admittedly, isn't ideal.

The good news is that we're actively working on a complete overhaul of the shopping cart system. The new version will include a "Save for Later" section, allowing buyers to move items there manually — and importantly, when a seller goes on vacation, any affected items will automatically shift to this area. Once the seller returns, those items will be restored to your active cart.

This doesn't solve the issue today, but the upcoming update will address it. We're aiming to roll out the new shopping cart in December or January.
