Big quarterfinals week. Here’s how the combinations work out
Crossdog and Hollywood are both locked into a highest score of 8 with having double byes to the semis Myself and Lyle each secured 1 bye and have 1 QF matchup, our highest scores are 9 Statysk is the belle of the ball with 2 QF matchups. Controls his own destiny, to have any hope of top 3 he has to walk away with at least 1 win. If Staysk loses both he will secure a score of 10 and finish in 5th Myself and Lyle have a lot at stake, a QF loss in our QF matchup gives us a possible lowest score of 6 at best (5th and then at best 1st). Which would most likely give us best case scenario of third Hollywood and Crossdog in the drivers seat that’s for sure

Updating for heading into the semifinals
Jstasyk picked up huge wins in both AL and NL, giving him an excellent shot at cracking the top 3. Myself and Chris losing in our respective QFs hampers our chances of being top 3 Now myself and Chris Lyle potential scores are capped at 6-9 range (5th and then 1-4). While Jstasyk, Crossdog and Hollywood remain at 2-8 Huge semifinal matchups this week: AL: Crossdog versus Jstasyk and Hollywood versus Chris Lyle NL: Myself versus Jstasyk and Hollywood versus Crossdog That NL Hollywood versus Crossdog is the biggest matchup on the board in terms of fighting for first. Hollywood beating Chris in AL and Jstasyk beating me in NL would essentially knock both Chris and I out of the running for top 3. Chris and I are basically in the mode of needing to win the remaining league we have left to potentially crack the top 3

Also doing a further points based analysis, if Crossdog wins both of his semifinal matchups, he’s essentially a lock to finish first.
Chris and I both winning our semifinal matchups with Crossdog going 2-0 would be best case scenario if you’re rooting for ultimate last week chaos. That would lock Crossdog into first and then create 4 players competing for slots 2 and 3 with all 4 players having the point combination of 6-7 Also obviously playoff points play a huge factor but the general ranking in terms of points in the regular season is Crossdog Hollywood Myself Chris Jstasyk

My NL team fought and fought this year, just decided to come up short at the worst time, but that how it goes.
AL not a good start with -20 to start out the week...

Setting up to be an interesting finish, a poor week for me against Crossdog in the NL and he'll be moving on to the finals on that side. But if I can hold a 30 point lead in my AL matchup, which after knocking on all the wood that is nearby me, I feel good about with Crochet and Kirby starting today, I could get to the AL finals
Crossdog is currently down 40 in his AL semis matchup with no SPs slated today, so if both of those results hold, both of us would be in the finals in one league and the third place game in another But hold the phone, JST is leading both of his semis matchups and looks likely to make the finals in both leagues, which would give him the best chance of any of us to finish 1st overall With Chris and Eckstein both locked into a 5th place finish in one league and both currently losing their semis matchup in the other league, they would be on the outside looking in for a top 3 finish, and probably not mathematically possible to finish top 3 if results hold today and off the top of my head, JST would have a max final score of 4, and Crossdog/Hollywood's max would be 6, whereas Chris/Eck's best possible finish with a loss this week would be 8. But we'll break down much more after today's slate is finalized

Reminder of this week's consolation bracket matchups to determine the first half of the draft order
Heading out early today, but will post some scenarios for the final standings tonight if someone else doesn't beat me to it

didnt see this coming...late season charges in both to either hold on or to snag the last spot...win round 1...only to have to play #1 seed in both leagues...and beat them both? cmon...its a cinderella story at this point!! (cue me scoring like 107 pts in each league this week and getting smashed! lol)

Ranking based on best possible outcome:
Team / Min / Max 1. JST (2, 4) 2. Crossdog (4, 6) 3. Hollywood (4, 6) 4. Chris (8, 9) 5. Eck (8, 9) Nobody else is still in the running for the money as these 5 teams were the playoff teams in both leagues. And we actually know our three money winners this year already, as the worst outcomes for JST, Crossdog, and Hollywood are all already locked in to be better than the best possible outcomes for Chris and Eck JST can clinch a 1st overall finish if he wins the title in either league. That would give him a max possible points of 3 (1st + 2nd), which Crossdog and Hollywood both can not beat Crossdog and Hollywood have the same possible outcomes, just in opposite leagues. In order to force tiebreakers with JST for the #1 position, either of us would have to win the championship in one league and the third place round in the other league, while JST loses both finals matchups. Funnily, it is possible for this one to go down to a 3-way tie, since Crossdog and I are have mirrored outcomes in the two leagues. Either of us losing either of our matchups would lock us into the #2 or #3 positions no matter what. And then it just comes down to what happens in the other league

just felt like finally looking up a guys stats who has been pretty dreadful for a while now it seems...to the point where I dont even start him some days in a NL Only league!
guy was an All Star and at the break this was his line: 95 Games 420 PA 356 AB 19 2B 24 HR 69 RBI 59 RUN 59 BB 116 K .278/.381/.534/.915 basically a STUD across the board since the AS Break: 53 Games 230 PA 206 AB 17 2B 3 HR 19 RBI 23 RUN 23 BB 93 K!! in 206 at bats...clocking in at like 45% K Rate .214/.296/.340/.635 basically a complete dumpster fire of a player Is James Wood one of the worst split seasons we have ever seen?? Geez...first half he showed what everyone kind of expected...breakout monster player...2nd half he is (insert horrible hitter name here) his pace over 162gm in this stretch would be 284 strikeouts!!! since the break he has 17 games with at least 3 K's...just shocking numbers |

I will be back tomorrow to wrap this league and all the others up, but I believe the final standings will be JST on top, followed by myself and then Crossdog. I always love the uniqueness of how the final standings in this league plays out. Hope everyone had another fun season no matter where you finished!
