comparing a modern player to babe ruth or lou gehrig is insanely stupid. They weren't even wearing batting helmets when they played.

Thread inspired me to blow $6 on this rookie future 500 HR medallion card. Bizarre choice putting a rookie in that set but it might just work out over most of the vets that were in there.

Does Kyle’s batting helmet use make him better or worse than Ruth and Gehrig?

Number 50! Joins Ryan Howard as only Phillies to hit 50. That's number 334. He's gotten much better since leaving the Cubs. Good for him.

Here's the list of players who have ever hit 50 HR in a season and 20 home runs in the post season:

1. Kyle Schwarber

While that's a cool accomplishment, comparing other players who have hit 50 HRs is not apples to apples. There are 3 rounds just to get to the World Series but in the past, it was only 1 round. Look at 1977 as an example - the Royals and Yankees played a best of 5 series with the Yankees winning to advance to the World Series. Back then, the most a team could play was 12postseason games in a single season. Now a team could potentially play in 24 post-season games. And it's easier to make the playoffs with 6 teams per league instead of 2.

Let me know when Kyle Schwarber hits his 18th Home Run in a World Series game, then I will be impressed. Until then, Kyle Schwarber still has no chance to make the Hall of Fame.

He’s got 7-8 more years to play.

Many on here should be saying he won’t make the HOF….in their lifetime.

Rats has to be at least a buck 10. He talks like he's been to games in which Walter Johnson and others from that era played.

Schwarber won't make the HOF for at least 13 years, so Goldy is correct unless Rats lives longer than any other person in recorded human history.

I don't usually hold cards throughout the cycles but I just love the color match on this one and think it would be a mistake to sell it...

Beautiful card, but what's up with his signature being to the far left?
