The subgrades on mine were mostly fine and consistent with what I thought it would be: Centering 9.5, Corners 9.5, Surface 9, but but...... Edges at 7.5, wow! I'm looking at it now, what did I miss?

Looking at the PSA database, 5 of the auto relics have been graded: a 9, two 8's, a 7, and a 6 (the 1/1 ouch).
For 30 50/50 relic-only card subs, 6 10's, 10 9's, 9 8's, 3 7's, and a 6.

I knew that I would get dinged for the right front edge of my card, as it looked like a small part of it was lifted up somehow. But the centering grade for mine....I still don't get how it got an 8.5. I'm convinced if I had submitted to PSA, it would have gotten a 7 or 8.

I see the 1/1 50/50 relic auto foilfractor got a BGS 8.5/9 and also see it as a DNA PSA 6. For their sake I hope they got the PSA 6 first then crossed it to a BGS 8.5 and not the other way around. Lol Though it being a 1/1, I guess grade doesn't matter that much for that card. A PSA 6 holds the current record for most expensive card ever sold afterall.

And another one. Man, the Ohtani SSP game is dangerous for your health. I had purchased the 2021 SSP of him signing autographs but the guy got paralyzed and never sent it, which sucks because really would like to add that one to the crew. I bought this one on the 3rd and messaged the guy last Thursday the 11th if he was going to send it and he has MS and couldn't drive but got it out the next day. So if you're going to sell any Ohtani SSP's go get a check up first then do it at your own risk.

Lmfao, it only appears to be the SSP's that are cursed, SP's image variations and rookie cards seem to be safe for now.

I'm looking at Cardladder for his 2018 BC batting #1 PSA 10, and before yesterday's $1,890 sale there was one for $1,849 on July 17, 2021. Don't see anything above that...
Maybe some BGS 10s went for over $2k back then.

Ok, WTF Cardladder?? I wonder if CL filters out outliers from the chart. When I look at the list of historic sales, I see a couple sales of $2.3k back in 2021, but don't see that whacko ~$4k one. lol

Mr. Ohtani must have been doing some crazy things back in early July 2021. Lol

guys, 2021 was like nothing i have ever seen in my 40+ years in the hobby

it was literally a "you had to be there" type of thing

to put it in perspective.... i sold seven 2018 NBA Prizm Blasters (not Hobby, Blasters) to one of the big three and used the money to buy both of these (and had $100 left over)

I’ve definitely got a big part of me that thinks I should be consolidating a lot of the base rookies before the pop counts catch up but there’s some sentimental on the flipside.

These are my favorite more recent pickups. The BBM Classic is an insert /75 from their Heritage equivalent and when you move it around the fireworks are pretty sweet. The middle one just has too much weirdgood character - 8, mini, cup, but a 1/10.
