I’m just amazed you were able to find that from 3 years ago, in all these threads (!)

I’d have to agree, basically hasn’t changed. Spidey is the Michael Jordan of the hobby and that won’t be changing. Deadpool perhaps the one that has cooled off somewhat from that list? He’s not in much, including this 92MM Plat set…so hard to tell where’s he at. I feel like Silver Surfer would be comparable at this point if not a bit above, but maybe I’m off base with that. Or even Gambit or Carnage.

92MM Plat is an interesting set because some characters transcend their traditional character tier pricing because the coolness of the art- Id argue Beast, Cyclops, Iceman, Scarlet Witch, Sabretooth, Storm are some examples. Maybe Thing too. I had to pay more for a Thing purple crystal vc than even a Cap and Thanos purple vc, but there could have been other factors afloat.

I'd definitely say there were other factors at play in that price

As far as this set being different than others, I'd tend to agree on some characters. While the same old same old are sky high, I do think some of the deeper cut characters seem higher in '92MM Plat. I was looking at some cards for a potential framed piece a while back and the seemingly random characters I was thinking of doing it with, from this set, where a lot higher than I'd have guessed.

With that said, basically any character can have some way-out random prices from a variety of sets. Squirrel Girl is my 7th highest selling card(3rd highest Marvel card...) of the year on COMC, out of 3,400~ items sold thus far. It beat out all Spidey/Wolverine cards, all Venom & Carnage...all Black Cat and all but 1 Psylocke...you get the point. I guess it's not as set in stone as it seems.

Back to the subject...

I'm surprised the Red Prism VC's haven't picked up more. I think they're a great looking option that is a lot more affordable than any of the higher end sets that a lot of people can't afford to build. I think they're a great card to nab, if you see one cheap, and hang on to. The /92's, /100's etc. have almost gotten out of hand already, though I do remember you saying the /92's have come down some... Maybe that's due to more eyes on Topps sets, which is great for anyone wanting to buy '92MM Plat

Squirrel girl- who would’ve thought haha. That better have been a 1/1 or at most /10! I can imagine there’s probably some diehard collector or two of her out there..she does have a fan base, but yea not exactly traditionally high up on the character tier list for marvel cards.

I’m in agreement about the red prism variant covers. Actually thats the one set (going from blue traxx to pink lasers to reds) I didn’t attempt to build. I think the reason was early on comc they were $15-40 even for lower characters and thought it was too much for being /292…but they seem to be solidly holding value. It would make sense just to build the set since then I’d be complete in all the sets /992 down to /292.

Like you said I think the red prism vc’s are attractive because they are the rarest numbered parallel option thats not getting into crazier territory. Big jump /292 down to /92. And while /292 is a large number to be out of, in this super popular high print run set it’s not *that* big.

It was a 1/1, but you'd be surprised how well some of her stuff sells. I actually have one incoming that's a shelf piece. Love it

And I agree...Red Prism look great and are a massive savings to anyone attempting a nice set that doesn't want to break the bank. Wish I'd kept more of them, but I didn't haha.

Andddddddd, did I just talk you into ANOTHER set? My bad ...

Get me the list when you inevitably do decide to chase it down

I agree -- even though it has some noticeable production flaws, it was a good thing UD did in releasing it before their Marvel license ran out. They did collectors a real solid.

The list will be coming soon haha I think you convinced me already. Really is a beauty of a set, and not crazy priced to boot. Shouldnt be at least, for /292(!).

A /292 card in any other marvel set is like a $5, maybe $10 card...we do see the "92 Platinum effect" where things draw a premium due to popularity..so like $15-40 for an average red prism vc /292, not bad.

Had some Jusko autos pop, wasnt sure how it'd be on chrome cards..mostly ok, just a few with mild streakiness.

This will be the cherry on top of the gold set.

This for the purple crystal vc set if it ever gets completed.

For red prism set

Not sure if autos work on lenticulars Like the color match though

Was happy with the pristine on this, to go with the pink set!

Joe Jusko always puts extra effort into making it look great (strategic sig placement, sig color) which you dont always see from signers. Always appreciate that.

A signed PMG!

Only an 8, but pmgs dont grade well.

I wonder what Joe thinks seeing his art in all the snazzy tech in 2025.

Awesome Jusko's Dyna! I think my favorite is the Battle Spectrum. It just looks "right"

Are you going to attempt one from each set you complete? I assume that's the theme.

They all look great

Appreciate it! Yea the battle spectra was pretty cool, kinda a last minute decision to sub that one but glad I did with the 10/10 result. It’s a lot easier to gem mint 10 this version battle spectrum compared to the OG 92 battle spectra’s, that’s for sure

Yep that was partly the plan- get 1 sig to add to a completed parallel set as a cherry on top thing. Problem is I submitted a blue PMG instead of red (d’oh) (didn’t realize I’d be attempting the red set at the time), and also don’t think I submitted a Kaleidoscope. There is one more sub I’m waiting to pop but pretty sure I didn’t do a Kaleid…I did do a mini box and Psylocke VIP black in that one, as well as an orange lava Namorita- I’ve heard that Namorita is Joe’s personal fav in the set (either fav or like top 3), so thought he would get a kick out of that one to sign (probably not many people sending in a Namorita). Not collecting the orange lava set though, just added some randoms to the sub.

Also I wasn’t sure if I was being dumb with the PMG or not, sending in a higher value card to be signed on…glad I did since it’s probably my fav one despite the 8. Now not saying I’d send like a golden treasures 1/1 or a Spider-Man green PMG etc to be auto’d, but something of this tier, I think it made it cooler.

Good idea on the Namorita. I didn't have any idea that was one of his favorites.

You could always nab a cheapie Red/Kaleidoscope to do later? Not sure how often he signs but it seems like quite a bit.

If you had asked me a year ago, I would have said don't do that...get a base signed blah blah blah.

I've since changed my opinion somewhat. I love seeing other peoples cards that get signed. Especially when they look good like these. With that said, I think I'd still struggle to do it to a card I own. Haha.

Not a bad idea, yep he’s a decently frequent signer (I argue Jusko’s sig might be up there in most # of sigs out there among the comic artists. Up there with Stan Lee, McFarlane, Jim Lee etc in terms of how much you see them).

I would have been just the same, previously. In comics for example, I was never a big fan of seeing things like Amazing Fantasy #15’s and X-Men #1’s signed by Stan Lee, especially high grade ones (those are some of the rarest, sought-after collectibles, to have a big ol black marker sig across the cover). I may be a purist in that respect. I say do it on a cheapo reprint of those comics instead. Or a vintage non-key comic at least.

With cards…it’s different, it’s grown on me and I’m more a fan. I *do* think his sig on a green PMG in a sig series slab would be friggin next level-awesome…that might be harder to convince myself to do though

This will always be my fav 92MM Jusko auto (not Platinum, this is the OG set)...from a year ago.

He used a great color match and placement of the sig, but the Pristine 10 was also so unexpected on this old '92 card...unheard of really. I went to my inventory of 25-odd 92MM Black Cats at the time and grabbed one that looked ok/centered to sub...I chose the right one I guess!

Whoa -- I didn't know Jusko did another signing for CGC. I checked just the other the day the upcoming signers for CGC and saw only actors and comic book artists.

Snazzy looking cards -- I like your selection.

Great looking cards!

Also noticed how well all his sigs look. Usually not a fan of them unless I’m getting one in person but these look fantastically placed.

Have to appreciate the artist or writer to who takes a little extra time to ensure the sig is sitting in the right place

Wait a moment, are you building other parallel sets now? I think I read something about the CV Red Prism and the PMG? If you want to do anymore trades, let me know. Anyway, here's an update on some of my latest pmg. I wasn't planning on buying the last 2 cards, but the seller offered them both for $105 shipped, so I bought them without looking to see if I need them:

It’s really a great signature. It seems fitting a master artist like Joe would take the extra time and effort to create a visually aesthetic signed card. Like an extension of the art.

Nice Thanos blue! Beautiful cards all around.

Yea I’m playing around with additional parallel sets- both red vc’s and pmgs- my never ending pursuits with this set continue, haha. I’ll have to see what I all need…might definitely be interested in some of those reds if dups for you. $105 for 2 pmgs (whatever they are), if im reading you right, is a very strong deal indeed.

Some beautiful cards! Super jealous of the Pristine 10 Black Cat base.

Going to submit my Cat Seismic Gold VC. Wish me luck!

Good luck to both! Hope you can land the green PMG and knock it out of the park with the BC gold vc! Let’s hope it gems.

There are some big players going for green PMGs out there, possibly even one trying to make a set I think (which is wild beyond belief)…hopefully they have the Dormammu. Seems right that card goes to you
