Ebay Authentication Turnaround Times

I’ve had a PSA graded card that I sold sitting at the Santa Ana location since last Thursday still waiting to get authenticated. Ebay states that cards will be authenticated within 1-2 business days. Just curious what others experiences are with eBay authentication and their turnaround times.

I have a card that shows it was delivered on 9/8, but didn't arrive at the hub until 9/12. It's 9/17 and no updates.

Also on 7 days awaiting my payment to be freed up. The authentication process is absurd. Maybe do $1000 and up?

Mine was delivered 9/10….showed up at hub 9/16….no update

Just notified it has been authenticated and funds will be released shortly

Funny enough, the next day it was authenticated and I got it on Saturday.

Delivered: 9/10
Delivered to hub: 9/15
Authenticated: 9/19
Shipped: 9/19

Last graded card
Delivered: 9/12
Delivered to hub: 9/18
Authenticated: pending

Seems consistent with others. 5-6 days to get checked in after delivery. 4-5 days to get authenticated. The entire process now adds 2 weeks to the delivery time. It’s almost like PSA is doing this intentionally to boost their own items which are already authenticated and ship directly.

Not an EBAY Authentication , but had a card get bought August 10th went to EBAY International Hub in Glendale Heights, IL and sent to buyer from there. Buyer opened up case for INR am I on the hook or is EBAY?

Nevermind , just got this.

eBay opened a case because of an issue with an item purchased from you. We reviewed the case and have decided to issue the buyer a refund of $185.54 without any impact to you.

This case is now closed. You aren't required to reimburse the buyer or eBay and this case will not be counted in your seller performance evaluation.

Package I sent them arrived on the 22nd of September. Still hasn't cleared. Today is the 29th.. This is ridiculous

New record for me. Slab delivered 9/24. Arrived at the hub 10/1. Now it will take another 4+ business days to get authenticated. Then another 2-3 business days to get to me. So looking at close to 3 weeks since purchase to actually receive the card.

Wow, based on this thread, I am not looking forward to what happens with the graded card I bought going through there. Delivered 5 days ago to the one in California, yet nothing so far, not even “at hub”.

Is there a reason PSA all the sudden fell off a cliff with the eBay authenticity? Is PSA doing a promotion for grading which has drastically increased volume or moved warehouses or something? It seems like a rapid shift, and whatever this is, is not sustainable for eBay.

Real great eBay AG- first they caused me over $250 for an international shipping customs tax because they filled out a customs form wrong (and refuse to correct that btw- I’ll be out $264 because eBay AG made a mistake on the form), and now I’m waiting over a week, probably 2+ weeks based on these responses, for a card. All for modern Marvel cards which I have no desire to go through eBay AG and have zero question about authenticity.

This sucks for sellers too because some don't get access to their funds until after it's delivered to the buyer, which makes me wonder if maybe they're dragging their feet on purpose. I have to wait if the buyer is sending it to the PSA vault for some reason, which makes zero sense to me...why should it matter to me where it goes after it's authenticated? And the best part is if I get an offer I have no way of knowing if it's going to the PSA vault or not until after I accept.

AND my app just updated and on the selling tab, they've moved the total funds down so you have to scroll to see your balance. I guess instead of getting their sellers their money quicker they've decided to make it harder to see how much they owe you.

Received at authentication in New Jersey on Saturday 10/11. My last one went to California. I am in Florida. Is NJ new for authentication? Perhaps they are opening up more resources….hopefully…maybe
