Will he do it?

I think no, but not unequivocally no.

So the guy who caught Trouts 400th asked to play catch in return for the ball and Trout agrees. Trout goes out there to do it with no glove and bare hands the game of catch. Kinda lame to not just wear your glove and give that guy a moment but OK. Im sure the guy got other stuff too.

I could see not really wanting to play catch with a fan after hitting your 400th home run. I can totally understand Trout just wanting to enjoy the moment with his team and family in celebration than with a random dude. Just send the guy signed balls or a jersey.

It's totally on brand for Trout. Mail in any fan related opportunities and then disappear into oblivion. Congrats on 400. Maybe you can catch Dave Kingman by 2028.

The inevitable Topps Now cards are showing and they look cool.

Will be interesting to monitor the print run of this one vs the Cal Raleigh one on same day. Gives some idea of Trouts standing as “hobby good”. Judge prob hits his 50th this week too so that will be another print run to compare.

Who knows? Possibly easily 20 - 50 K. Possibly 100k. One guy I talked with said 1.2 mil in a few years. I have much to say about the obtainment of these items to the detriment of the fan but will leave it at that for now except to say if you are ever in this position having caught a MILESTONE BALL tell them to pack sand.

Good find I would agree. The thing of it is the authenticators are not there to help you. This aids the team in that they tell you if you leave the stadium it is worthless but all Milestone balls are marked somehow and a batch is given to umps. Those that remain are weeded out and help determine authenticity because the one in the stand is the outlier.

The fact this guy could not get it authenticated I believe helps to undermine his price realized.
