I know you are incapable of doing this, but obviously I was wrong. I thought he'd be a perfectly acceptable backend starter based on his post April till he was acquired, he wasn't. It's not hard to admit when you're wrong. You should try it!

These guys aren't robots, I'm just not sure how they could snap out of this with 6 to go, and I think the shift goes to trading Skubal in the offseason if they miss the playoffs and retooling for 2027 knowing McGonigle/Jobe/Clark will all be coming.

That's always been the plan for Harris: 2027.

That team won't have Tarik Skubal and they don't have any notable arms in the pipeline right now. Jobe didn't look very good before blowing out his elbow. Harris has shown ZERO ability to identify pitching talent.

FYI: Max Clark is slugging .333 against lefties in the minors this season.

This season was their window but Harris' ego took over and he threw it away.

PS: I know you love advanced stats. Wyatt Langford has a higher WAR than anybody on the Tigers besides Skubal.

We rarely get to hear such details but the secret I would like to hear is what Posey may have asked Harris for in exchange for this old Pitcher named Justin - 2.65 ERA after the break this year. But maybe the question was never asked.

I do love advanced stats, thank god Langford has April and August this year!

Nice young player, doesn't change the Tigers fortunes whatsoever.

I know this is going to become a popular thing because Verlander has been so good lately, but before the deadline he had a 1.49 WHIP 3.4 BB/9 7.8 K/9 4.53 ERA and batters were hitting .279/.347/.451 off him, he was pretty bad objectively. Post deadline 2.41 ERA 8.6 K/9 2.6 BB/9 1.09 WHIP batters hitting .214/.271/.291 off him.

I'm curious what he's done differently to turn back the clock, but it doesn't feel fair to question not trading for him at the time.

F@#$ Chris Illich!! He owns two teams and both GM’s are under the same constraints regarding money. It’s easy to blame the GM’s (and there is definitely blame), but Illich needs to want to win.
