I’m impressed to be honest. They *should* have won that game going away. Raiders second half was awful. I don’t expect playoffs but a much better season than the last few.

I'd love to hear the bull case for being a "much better season than the last few"; because I don't see it.

For me, it comes down to decision making; and I don't see any smart decisions being made. Absolutely zero upside being offered from the coaching hires, draft, and allocation of cap room. It reeks of Eliot making sure as little money as possible leaves Bob's coffers.

no team can win with 5 turnovers. the offense was moving against Pitt, and after the 1st quarter the defense was solid.

lots of penalties and turnovers here at the beginning.

Maye is showing me some good signs. moving the ball around and going through his progressions.

I expect them to improve as the season goes along

We have different expectations.

Maye might be a Bugatti parked outside a trailer. The most "explosive" offensive option the Patriots have on the roster is a rookie running back that the team clearly doesn't trust to handle much more than 10 touches...

This falls on Eliot and the Kraft's. There has to be a reason the only FA's they can get to Foxboro are old unathletic TE's, a locker room AIDS diva WR, and a weirdo WR that would be a GREAT WR3 for anyone with a chance of sniffing the playoffs.

That is rather uninspiring.

Surely you can see it is now a vertical passing game rather than a horizontal one.

That is a great first step in my opinion.
