Found it, thank you!
"I'm not going to scare you" is the inscription. That is really cool. Glad his was found. I saw Jodi Benson listed too, so I think there has been one of all the biggies pulled now. You never can tell with Topps, so even though they were on the sell sheet, I wanted to see them before I actually believed they existed. |

In years past, I would open about 300-400 cases a year between baseball Flagship and Heritage products. This year my total opened is exactly 0. It is what it is. The good thing is that there are numerous ways to enjoy the hobby. You don't have to open wax. I stopped because the value wasn't there anymore. I didn't complain about anything, I just decided to do things differently. I still enjoy things just as much. Life is all about perspective. Hobby boxes being too expensive for people on a budget is a 1st world problem. |

Opening Disney Chrome at $400+ ea is just asking for big hurt, considering promised hits and print run. I'd be much more tempted to use the same money on breaks of that product if I was really interested in it. But yeah there's definitely much less opportunity to rip like "the old days" bc of breaking. We all know the deal. Still, some gambles (ripping personals) are clearly better than others. |

The thing that magnifies a product like this is the potential for massive hits. There are insane amounts of 4 figure cards that can be pulled and even multiple 5 figure cards. That isn't always a thing with all products. So the gambling factor is magnified because of the potential payout people hope to hit with "a little luck". |

I did enjoy doing breaks back when it was cheaper. I’m not sure how long the current popularity will last at high prices but it probably still has some legs.

At this point I am just buying singles. Looking at low numbered 2024 and 2023 Disney Chrome while everyone is focused 2025 on eBay.

Thanks much all! If you like these, you'll love the Disney cards that my daughter drew! Check out the recent post for Halsey Camera in the Sketch Card Collections and Artist Galleries thread! Her art is super amazing!

Holy goodness! Ripping boxes with my kiddo and both of these from box 2. Knightly is massive and so is Remy /10.

Haven’t posted in 3 years, but felt like this was a cool reintroduction. Me and my 13 year old were on the hunt for Marvel Blasters and scored 4. We also grabbed a Disney.
Last pack magic - Future Stars Elio Solis Red & Black Mickey /28 popped out!

Here is some brand new craziness for everyone on this beautiful Saturday morning:
Stateline breaks on Whatnot was just finishing up their Friday night breaks as I was getting up. It was a character random which had 188 total spots in the break. This one is the highest I have seen so far. Ready for it? Half case break, so 6 total boxes. Grand total of the spots added up to...............$9,631. Holy Freaking Cow that is insane. That is the equivalent to a $19,000 case. Granted, this is pre fees, but still. The total box price for this 6 box break was $1,605 per box. I don't even know what words to use for this one other than crazy. EDIT TO ADD: First John Goodman autograph was listed while I was asleep and also sold right after. It was the /28 version and sold for $2,000. The first Jodi Benson also sold /99 for $1,200. Its still hard to compare the top autographs because there haven't been a lot of them available yet and they have sold at different parallel levels. But it looks like Tom Hanks may still be the top dog. A regular non-numbered sold for $1,700 yesterday. But again, these early cards can be all over the place. Not sure that it "sold". The listing appears to have been ended by the seller which usually means they worked out a deal away from ebay to save fees.

A lot of the breaks I see listed are now half-cases. Makes me wonder if the wind is out of the sails already. Genuine question, if interest dries up that quick on a product like this and with how many boxes were made, what happens to box prices? I would think they'd start to come down, but past evidence doesn't necessarily show that happening.
