I'll add in here one thing. The last time I had the box, there were 7 1/1s in the box as it left my house. When I received the box this time there were 0. Maybe I missed it but I don't recall seeing anyone declaring that they took them out of the box.

It is ok to take good things out of it. When you do so, post it. Don't be sneaky about it.

Yeah I’ve never seen anything like that in there. I’ve posted pics of everything I’ve taken out

Hey hey, scfa1975. TGIF! (It's always a Friday somewhere, right?) Thanks for asking about the Box.

It's a big traveling box of cards made from community contributions for the intended purpose of community enjoyment! You put your name in the queue -- right now that's RetailChamp, cardtrader22, and fungi2510 (there's some behind the scenes DM communication that goes on here with the exchanging of addresses) -- and when it arrives you enjoy the experience of looking at a bunch of cards. Different sports, interests, styles, ... a real cardboard smorgasbord.

Importantly, *then you post pictures of what you selected and add some cards of your own back into the Box to keep things interesting and full,* and send it on its way to the next recipient! It's very important to contribute and post pics b/c that's how it keeps its momentum and how everyone else gets to enjoy the Box vicariously. Stories of why things caught your eye are a bonus

So, scfa1975... whadda ya think?!

Finally got around to the box on Sunday! Had a great time going through everything. There are definitely a few themes going on. Also, my organizational needs took over and I sorted everything as best I could into the different boxes ... couldn't help myself!

On to the goods! First up, we have this lot of Brewers/Cubs/kids stuff for my nephews (4 and 7) who will be visiting next week. They were born in Chicago, but go to a few Brewers games each year. They got their first cards this past Christmas, so hoping to keep that trend going!

Next up is for one of my wife's best friends' eight-year old. I send him a couple boxes of stuff each year because he watches my tiktok/IG channel lol. Big Houston fan!

Last of my giveaways ... this one is for my brother-in-law, a die hard Philly sports fan

Me time! Was glad to see a nice variety of Blue Jays cards for the PC. I don't have anything for Yesavage, so those were cool to pick up. Found one single Lion cards, and the Chandler Vaudrin auto is a giant "WHO??!?!" for most people ... he went to Winthrop University, my alma mater, and is one of only two guys to make it in the league. Well summer league anyway. Pumped for that one!

Lastly, a smattering of cool random stuff that caught my eye!

There is plenty of great stuff left in the box, I promise! Has to be at least 100 autos in there. Cartrader22 already has the tracking number, and it will be dropped at the post office tomorrow! Happy hunting!

I LOVE IT! That's some awesome stuff, RetailChamp. I really like the Konerko card that caught your eyes. One of my favorite things about looking through the Box is seeing a niche card that a friend or family will enjoy -- and I enjoyed reading about/seeing your niche finds for yourself, as well! I know your nephews will be excited; it's the perfect time to surprise them with some cards. Good job, Uncle RC.

That was one of the funnest sports cards nights I’ve ever had with my kids!!! Sorry for the length of the post in advance but want to share everything! First thanks to RetailChamp for including all the orioles and ravens cards. I grabbed what we needed but for anyone who gets box who’s a fan of either, there are plenty of cards from both teams still in there. I’ll start with the Orioles, Ravens, Cal Ripken & Jim Palmer cards we got for our collection. So awesome adding these!

Next are cards my son picked out. He’s a year away from college and has been following the PG and UA showcases. He hopes to be able to play in college (likely D2/D3) and started grabbing cards from those showcases so was cool to grab some cards of guys he’s been seeing.

Next, one of my wife and I’d favorite shows (can’t count the amount of times we’ve watched our DVD set (yea we are that old)) of Cheers and still, to do this day, my favorite non-HBO show.

My daughter really only collects her favorite women soccer players and put together the NWSL sets so nothing in there for her, but she’s been getting into the Marvel series and was pumped to see some cards in there! She’s also going through US history in 8th grade so she’s excited to take in the FDR audio card and really like the mini Disney cards & the Invincible card. And she grabbed a couple of soccer cards for her “boyfriend” who also plays soccer and is from Germany.

Lastly, two cards that are pretty awesome & special. Didn’t even know he had his own card, let alone an autograph but Duff is a famous chef and his first restaurant was Charm City Cakes in Baltimore. We got my wife’s 40th birthday cake from Duff, so was so cool to get that one. And my dad, who got me into cards when I was younger, & I opened up so much 1990-92 Upper deck and never got a gold hologram card so to see that to give him is so amazing!!!

Thank you for all the fun memories I got to share with the family. There is so much in the box right now, I can’t even begin to describe! I’ll get it filled back up to more than replace what we grabbed, find out fungi’s PC, and get it on its way when we get back from our baseball showcase in VA this weekend!!

We've had some really incredible Box posts lately. I reject your apology and welcome your long post, cardtrader22. Thank you, that was a lot of fun to read and follow along with.

I love the cards you found. I've said this enough times individually that it's struck me now overall, but I think Cal Ripken Jr. might just have the most attractive card catalog from his playing days. Time after time after time someone is pulling a Ripken stunner or funner out of the Box, myself included. Really neat stuff and awesome Finest finds on the Lewises. The Cheers cards are cool to see -- I remember reading about the prerelease news over in nonsports but hadn't been paying much attention since then. And thanks for the stories about your kids -- great that you all not only share an interest but that they have their own hooks to the hobby, too.
