Third update. No change in status. Though they confirmed receipt of the cards on 8/27, they have not yet logged them. I submitted Bulk so I really don't care about the Turn around time, but it would be nice if there were just updates on the progress. That's a problem with all grading companies.

My 8/15 Bulk order received on 8/15 just entered Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging. Surprised to see movement so soon.

I noticed that some economy orders submitted before mine still haven’t been processed. According to tracking, my cards are expected to arrive back tomorrow, which will be about 31–32 calendar days since I shipped my submission in August. It doesn’t appear that orders are handled on a strict FIFO basis, and I suspect the processing time may be influenced by the types of cards included in the submission.

My order is mainly vintage to 2011 baseball.

Yeah, I’d imagine TCG is entirely different from sports in terms of TAT. My order was mostly ultramodern hockey.

Extremely disappointed in CGC for reholders. Never sending them a vintage card ever again. Two 1952 Bowman got put back in a plastic baggie. Not acceptable.

I despise those bags - completely ruins the clarity of the slab.

Interesting...I think they are trying to prioritize the sports cards due to the special, because my bulk sports cards submission that was sent in a week after my TCG economy submission just went to GEI, but the TCG submission is still in scheduled for grading

Ok. So that kinda seems consistent. My bulk that they received on 8/16 went to GEI today

i never look at grades until i open the box. yes, link is available. i am hoping for low JSA failures and the bigger hope is that I don't have any false "authentic evidence of coloring" bs for any of these.

Similar boat here. 85 card bulk submission, delivered 8/20. All it says is received. Not logged in, not scheduled for grading, or anything. This is pretty typical I guess. Would be nice to at least see the list of cards logged in from their end.

Based on some other posts, I wonder if maybe we’ll see ours randomly jump to GEI in the next week or two. If so…that is a massive difference between the 80-day current estimated turnaround for Bulk and actual turnaround.

Their "slab" is a semi-rigid. So i would say no.

I know they handle thicker cards like 360-pt, as I was upcharged a few bucks when I submitted some back when they had the green flips. However, I've never seen an oversized card in a CGC slab. Considering CGC slabs a wide variety of collectibles, it’s hard to believe they wouldn’t offer a service for oversized cards.

Take this with a grain of salt, but according to ChatGPT:
  • They’ve introduced special holders for jumbo cards, sized up to 5" × 7" and 6" × 9".
  • Cards that were previously non-standard in size (oversized, vintage, etc.) can now be submitted worldwide to CGC for grading in those jumbo card holders.

These are not slabs, but the equivalent of a sealed card saver. If you send larger cards than 1952 Topps size, you will be disappointed and pretty ticked off.

I googled and you’re correct. Very odd.

Not what I expected.

My order that was marked received on 8/15 still hasn't been "scheduled for grading". Seeing other people's orders from after that that have been scheduled for grading. Hoping there is some movement soon.
