I think with autos and sketches possible, this product will be just fine.

The majority have been half case breaks from the start.

I think most breakers figured out long ago that the fewer boxes they include in a break, the more they will profit. If a character spot would go for $100 in a full case break while 2 half case breaks each get $75 for the same character that’s a huge win for them. There is a big eBay breaker that used to regularly do 10 and 20 case breaks but now they rarely do more than 3 cases for a “big” break now. I wouldn’t read much into 6-box breaks these days. I also wouldn’t enter into one.

100% this. I have even heard them say that. "Chat, you aren't paying up in the case breaks, so we are sticking with half cases". There is one other reason some of the unscrupulous breakers do it. They will buy loose boxes and claim they are from the same case. Cases always have a premium, so its another way for them to extend their margins. Recycle the old cardboard case boxes and fill it back up with loose boxes. I bought a "case" from someone about 6 months ago that I knew as soon as I got it in that it wasn't a factory seal. The guy literally said it wasn't a big deal because none of the breakers care. He said gone were the days that cases needed to be sealed. I was less than happy to say the least and it went back.

Big cards appear to be doing well. I think I heard the first Tom Hanks non-numbered went for $1800? Goofy /10 Baseball insert $3400. We opened one box and hit a Pluto Red Wave /5 we sold for $680. Wind in the sails or not, this product will be exactly the same as all the other Chrome products of late(Marvel, Star Wars etc.) where the common cards fizzle out but the SSPs do just fine. That's one thing I'll give Topps. While their quality control on these Chrome cards is usually all over the place with roller marks and print lines and such, the SSPs are usually pretty clean and saught after. I love those Reflections inserts from Marvel and Star Wars.

Will be curious to see over time with the Disney stuff Topps puts out whether or not it pulls any money out of the Lorcana market. While there are a lot of players for Lorcana there are also a lot of people that just collect the Enchanteds and the hits. If Topps comes rolling in with big new shinies I wonder if the Lorcana chase cards are going to take a hit. Typically the players aren't looking for those chase cards anyway.

680 for a red Pluto is VERY low compared to 2023.

Resale is awful but this set so far based on box price. I have gotten 8 autos so far for the price of two boxes at current resale.

I except to only have to pay major money for hanks and smith. Rest will tank over the next month

Bought a retail box for $48 on eBay just because. Some jerk was selling them for $65 at a show I went to over the weekend.

A) Trying to sell something at a profit doesn't make someone a jerk. Our society runs on capitalism. Almost everything you have ever purchased has been marked up by someone.

B) What it does make him is greedy and a bad business man. That is a ridiculous price for a blaster box and he most likely still had them when he left the show.

I pulled a black mini diamond Alice (card 176) 05/10 last night. Debating to keep or sell.. Thinking it could go for at least $500, but sales of similar are all over the place.

If you're thinking about selling at all, best time is near the release of the product.
This is the 3rd year of Alice cards, and sapphire will drop at some point.
Disney wonder is coming and we can expect more cards from Fanatics.

As long as people are buying, they will continue to print and sell more boxes.
They don't care about dilution or long-term collectability. They're cashing in now.

If you're not an Alice collector, why would you keep it?

Mostly due to the fact that my wife loves Alice and the card so I am stuck between a rock and hard place. LOL

You better keep it, then!

Would she be happy with a higher-numbered Alice? Sell yours and pick up a /99 or something.

Congrats on some more nice boxes, and for the second great auto! I loved the Moana movies, and this is one of the autographs I would like to pick up eventually.

How many boxes have you opened? 4, or has it been more than that?

Just did box our 6th box. 2 autos, 2x /10, 4x /25, and lot of other nice hits. Will definitely buy more since it’s a ton of fun. We also collect Lorcana.

2 autos in the SAME box? Or out of 6 boxes?

Every box I've watched opened yields maybe $50 in cards but according to blowout you hit autos every few boxes.

Its hard for people to take a post seriously when everything in the post is exaggerated. Every box you have seen opened yields $50? I find that highly unlikely. And glancing over the posts I see no one claiming you hit autos every few boxes. Are you making this claim because someone hit 2 in 6 boxes? Its pretty common knowledge now that autographs are 1 per case, and often 2 per case. So I would say on average about 1 every 10 boxes. His luck of 2 autographs in 6 boxes isn't even that long of odds. Be better. Feel free to hate the product, but do it accurately so you don't lose credibility with your hate.

Sold at auction for $940?

Sheesh. I guess those case sketch slots are worth $200-$300 if you have a coin flip of hitting something like that lol

I got a $25 credit from Fanatics so I'm about to just buy a Sulley spot for poops and giggles just to use it up.
