gotcha. I had checked 130point earlier and didnt see the sale yet.

$4500 is a very strong sale. i would like to see some more data in the next few weeks/month on higher grade examples to see if this is a trend or just a few big sales.

$4500 is around $2500 more than that same card was selling for about 14 months ago in the summern of 2024.

Yeah the prices are out of control now. Significant increase across everything. Market is hot.

I think it will get hotter though. But the time to buy was definitely a year ago or so, or even 6 months ago.

It is finished!!!

After many years and lots of focus and discipline, my complete Brady base rookie run is now complete. Not really sure how i feel at this point. Very strange to have nothing left on my "need" list. I do feel happy (and a little proud!)

Well, here she is, the final card...

2000 metal.

It was quite a journey. I watched Tom from the beginning to the end and now i finally have all the base rookies.

Whats next??? For sure more Bradys, but i imagine some older baseball. At least late 60s to 90s. I think for right now though, i will take a little buying break and enjoy what i have

I believe 3 are currently on the PSA registry. there were 4 at one point, but one guy sold his off. Mine are not on the registry as not all are in PSA holders.

I dont have the interest (at this time) to spend what it would take to cross them over. I just enjoy owning them

the big plan is to pass them on to the kids when I am gone. barring some sort of financial disaster, I hope i can do that. then they can either keep them or sell them or who knows what.

at that point, i wont care!!

as for now, i love owning them!

I dont have too many 2000 parallels. yet...

I do have the 2000 BC refractor

I also have the Metal emerald, dominion "extra" and tradition "glossy"

I think that is it, unless I have forgotten any.

I would like to add the ultimate victory parallel at some point too

there are a handful of reasonable ones I would like to acquire though. and at some point i would like to add maybe one more rookie auto. perhaps the press pass or autographics. i think the score rookie preview will be hovering out of my budget pretty soon!

I saw that. I've been tracking autos since I sold my only auto and have the money to play with. Let me know if you actually do want to bid or are bidding, and I won't - vice versa.

But I probably won't go for that score. Tend to stay away from the big sellers like MC, Probstein, 4corners, whoever --- they always shill bid. The fact it's at 2.55k and that was yesterday, obviously it has been.

Sometimes you can get a fair or good deal with those sellers to be fair. But yeah, to add, I've noticed a stark collapse in inventory of Brady and Jordan autos. Not sure if everyone is holding, more likely re-pack is going nuts and they're buying em all up.

What do you mean? Since I bet it sells for more than what it is now

Compared to those super high showcase prices

Something would be fishy if that rookie preview was at like $5k

i wouldnt want to compete with each other either. just drive the prices up on ourselves.
