Raw cards go to the NJ PSA office (at least my raw cards!).

They may have changed then. Because I bought a raw card a year ago and it went to Florida for CGC

This was last month, so PSA NJ for raw.

So I just had a card I bought for 2800 completely bypass authentication and go straight to my Fanatics Vault. The eBay listing had the blue check mark and stated “authenticity guarantee” next to it. Any ideas if they have decided to skip authentication for cards headed to a major vaulting service?

Never seen this before but I am pleased that I didn’t have to wait in that crazy line.

I believe it’s based on region. That determines where the cards go.

They probably stole it like they did mine. Too many other cards that I've had go through there got authenticated rather quick.

Buyer opened an item not received case and within 15 minutes Ebay closed case with refund to buyer. Will see if the appeal does anything, tracking clearly shows it made it to authentication hub

The worst thing was authenticating an already authenticated card as the sticker was still intact from the seller’s previous eBay purchase - and they get paid for this???!???

You shouldn't have to pay for it, my seller didn't. We did plan ahead though and he called ebay before we agreed on a date for me to hit the item not received button.

I stopped buying anything over 250 dollars on eBay about 6 months ago

But eBay had no choice. Humans are scum bags

They were losing millions of dollars a year for a longtime

Joe would buy a 1000 dollar card from Bob

Joe received card and says not as described

Joe then sends back 1990 topps card back to Bob instead of the original 1000 card

Joe keeps card and gets his refund when it shows returned to Bob

For those who don’t know. That is the real reason for eBay authenticity.

eBay needs to cut PSAs “add on grading service” ASAP

I have no doubts the slowdown is 100% due to PSA now allowing eBay authentication items to be graded while in PSAs hands. This is crippling the program

The wait seems to be about 3-5 business days now, which is better than it was last month.

The usual turnaround was one day, however.

Longer, and that’s if you didn’t opt in for optional grading.

Just wait until you do that

My latest purchase of a raw card went as follows:

October 12 - Purchased
October 15 - Delivered to Santa Ana
October 17 - Item authenticated
October 17 - Shipped to me via USPS
October 21 - Estimated delivery date

Pretty quick turnaround this time.
