Went through it, I’ll post pics and recap tomorrow. Lots of fun stuff in there. Majority of the stuff I picked out were for other people, mostly my nieces

That’s one of my favorite things about this box.

Even if there is nothing for you, you will find something for someone you know!

I have taken cards to give to non clectors, just because I know they liked the player and it brought them into the hobby.

This is such a great thing, I miss being part of!

Here’s what I got
First, a pair of Panini socks. Always looking for fun socks for working out

Second some cards to send ttm to get signed

Stuff for my oldest niece she likes pink cards and is super into Pokemon right now. Plus a Kiki basketball card. Her name is Kinsley but when she was learning how to talk she called herself Kiki so that’s what we call her

For my middle niece she likes purple so here are purple cards for her

Mascots for Youngest Niece

Next are some Chiefs

And some Royals

Now we have some players who played/will play for the Wind Surge my MiLB team

2 cards for a friend’s kids

A Nick Madrigal auto, JJ Wetherholt (nice kid), and a James Tibbs (nice kid and I see him with Tulsa when they come to town)

And finally a pack of Prizm Draft

Added a nice stack of fun stuff. Who would like it next?

Awesome stuff, r0yals. First, those socks.... how cool?! And I think your youngest niece made out really well with those mascot cards. I also think it's neat you were able to find some Wind Surge guys. Always a surprise what's waiting to be discovered.

r0yals brings up a good point: who wants the Box next? I'll reinforce again that it's paramount to post pictures of what you take from the Box so we can all enjoy it vicariously. It's also a good hit of dopamine to see someone select something you've put into the Box -- it keeps the good will on good wheels.

Thanks again, r0yals, and if anyone would like to participate, shout it out! The NBA season is under way as we prep the bunting for Friday night's World Series start!

Sorry about the delay. I have been super busy with work and all of the kids' activities. I had a blast going through the boxes with my son. He hasn't been too big into cards lately, but he enjoyed getting many cards for himself and I took a few.

I loved the early-mid 00's numbered Giants cards. Those Panini brands like Rookies and Stars and Classics are some of my favorites, so I took a few.

We also were really digging the USA auto cards. I loved that some of them were from 10 years ago and some from now. My son is 12 and plays pretty competitive travel baseball. We found an auto from a kid that is just two years older than him, so it was interesting to talk about that.

We took quite a few of the Royals players and Chiefs. I know we left some, but he was definitely wanting some BWJ and Salvy to add to his collection.

We also took some cards that just looked cool: the Photogenic cards are amazing, in addition to some prewar cards that are in the box. I could not leave the Greg Oden rookie card in there. A great piece to add to the collection.

Somehow I forgot to take a picture of the ball that was sent along with the box. My son took it and put it in his room. I think it is his first autographed baseball. We were pretty sure it was of former Royals prospect, now Nationals prospect, Cayden Wallace.

Thanks so much. I apologize for the wait on the pictures and narration. I am definitely not as good as it as others, but we enjoyed the box so much as a family. Thanks again.

Fungi! Thank you for closing the loop. There is no better or worse, only Boxers. I'm a big fan of oddball cards like the airplane mini you pulled. And that's a neat story about your son playing travel league and finding a card that shows the progression of hobby to amateur to pro.

Thanks again for taking the time to post and share. It really is appreciated and enjoyed. I'm glad you your fam had a good time and that your son found a relic for his room.

Those interested in the Box... we're all ears!

Glad your son grabbed that auto ball! I think you are right - I couldn’t remember if it was Cayden Wallace or Cheslor Cuthbert but I knew it was one of the two so hoped you would grab it. Glad you were able to add a chunk of royals/chiefs I included as well!

The series is tied up 2-2! What a series it's been.

Box? Box! Who's interested?

If folks don’t mind me adding vintage to the box, I’d be happy to get on the list. I picked up the box back in 2023. Can’t believe it’s still making the rounds. What a cool idea and kudos to all of you for keeping it going.

Hey hey, JimV, there's room for all interests in the Box, as long as you feel there's value for another collector (we still try to keep modern/ultra-modern base cards to a minimum).

Reach out to r0yals2012 via DM to coordinate, please, and let me know if you don't hear anything or if their inbox is full. Thanks for poking the thread!

Unrelated: I'm about to thumb through a pack of Bloomburrow MTG cards.
