I retracted my statement, not sure what I was thinking. Topps did have Series 1 and 2 way back but the later years I remember their being just one offering. So who knows what they'll do

This could have been seen from a mile away with your eyes closed. It didn’t matter what they released it was going to be fire in the right format. What has surprised me though, is how fast the Panini stuff pulled out of the valleys and shot up like a rocket. Most of these Topps boxes are going to be really bad value at the secondary market price, but it won’t stop the demand. The value was so bad with Panini basketball stuff that these prices still look good for a lot of people. Wait till they release the good stuff.

It’s a good topic of discussion. Obviously Baseball has Series 2 and Update.
You’d be thinking Topps will want to milk this license for everything it’s worth, but it’d be tough putting decent content out in those releases (less players making debuts throughout the season).

Watching Packman get crushed on 2 hobby and 2 jumbo makes me feel much better about not pulling the trigger after the pre-sale.

I put in for 1 hobby on fanatics (hopefully I get selected) and ordered 3 fanatics blasters.

I always enjoy putting together a set of the paper set for baseball and I'll do the same for basketball.

My LCS sent out prices for tomorrow

Hobby $215 - limit 2
jumbo $415 - limit 1

Back before fanatics took over you used to be able to buy as much as you wanted as they always had a TON of products. Now there's a limit of a box or few for each Topps release.

Got my 2 jumbos and 1 hobby box today from Topps and got absolutely crushed on all 3. Bad autos, bad game used, no variations or SP’s. That’s the way it goes I guess. It was cool seeing Topps basketball cards again though.

The cards look great. I like the GU and some of the inserts. I have not seen more than 1 or 2 good autos pulled. I may just flip my 5 jumbos/8 hobbys and buy again once prices come down.

List all the rookies on eBay. The base are going for stupid money. They will all be in dollar boxes a year from now.

Received two of my jumbos Direct from Topps today And did OK with them. Strange thing is we received to autos and one relic out of one jumbo box. Ironically enough, both of the autos were the same player - Asa Newell. One was a regular auto and the other was a photo shoot auto. I have 100+ tables show this weekend and taking all of my singles to sell them.
