Stieb is a fantastic choice, especially with Toronto in the World Series.

Kurtz was a foregone conclusion, but nice to see The Big Amish and AL Rookie of the Year finally make his debut.

That Dave Steib is really nice looking!

I started collecting as a kid in 1980 and he was one of the mainstays in my collection.

Are the gold 1/1 randomly inserted into orders?

Amazing selection and artwork with Dave Steib. He is a perfect selection and has always been underrated. Seeing players like this is one of the best parts of this set. The timing is perfect as well.

Before it’s too late is it possible to get back to having the MLB cards available as a subscription for the coming new year? It’s always appreciated when you can just set it and forget it for this kind of thing! Sounds like the NBA version is like that???

I sincerely appreciate it all and I am grateful beyond words… so I’ll do my best to articulate it through my drawings ☺️.

I can’t say much but what I can share is that it will be 1 card a week for the duration of the Basketball Season… approximately 36-40 cards in total for the playing year. These drawings are a lot more involved than the MLB versions and take much longer to draw so 1 week is a great pace for me.

I’ll have signed Prints available for purchase similar to the MLB set as well as signed cards on my website starting this Wednesday.

Stay Amazing my Friends!
Angel just blew my mind. I talked to him this afternoon and had to ask, just to satisfy my own curiosity, if he's working on a larger canvas now for the NBA portraits, since many of them will be full body player portraits. He said he isn't! He's still drawing the NBA portraits on 5x7in canvases!!!! Said he's spending a solid 5-6 days on each portrait.

I'm hoping his LeBron becomes the first Living Set card to break the 100K print run mark.

This is the first time I've ever purchased a 20-pack for a Living Set card. I saw what happened with Judge in the MLB set, and I'm still trying to track down a PSA 10 for a reasonable price.

After seeing the LeBron signed cards sell out almost immediately today and realizing that some long time Collectors were shut out I was considering a subscription option. Would anyone be interested in that? This way you would be guaranteed not to miss out. Currently I have 3 people who have asked for each card for the entire season and thought I’d extend the offer to the people that truly love the Living Set series. The Gold /5 $50 would be $1750 for the remaining 35 cards and the Black /10 $25 would be $875. We can do the entire set or monthly where the payment would be due at the beginning of the month at 5 cards per. So the Gold would be $250 and the Black $125 respectively. I know 4-5 cards comes out each month but 5 card segments seems to work best at this point. Also, I will include a non-numbered signed LeBron card in Blue Ink as a gift to anyone who subscribes for the entire season. This would help to have the entire run if you missed out today. Feel free to email me at angelsaviles@gmail.com if interested… cheers!

Looks like Topps forgot to post the print runs on 872 Jackson Jobe and 873 Dwight Evans.

Yeah, I’ve been checking the archive daily, but nothing.

Jared, can you check in with Topps to mention this?

While I’m happy to see the Living Set expand to basketball hopefully this thread can return to being exclusively about baseball. At the risk of sounding like an old man, if I see more posts about LeBron James in this thread I’m going straight over to the NBA Living Set thread and spamming about the MLB living set.

What’s the title again for this thread?

Haha.

Sorry about that. I've been bouncing between the threads and wasn't paying attention the last couple days.

Hope you join us in the NBA thread!

When this thread started there was no need to add MLB to the title because it was the only Living Set. NBA has a dedicated thread now.

Can a mod change the name of this thread to ‘Topps MLB Living’?

In the early days the orders from Topps were for “Topps Living Set.” I’m not exactly sure when they added “MLB” to the title.

Good idea. I’ll second that motion.

What would you guys think a fair price is for the entire set up until this point? Or say the first 800 at least.
Thanks!

I pay $12.50 every week for the pair of cards…$12.50 X 400=$5,000.00

Approx how many complete sets are even out there? Over/under 500?

I'd say $5K for the entire run so far seems pretty cheap especially because a lot of people that have the complete set are likely holding. When's the last time one became available?

I have one and don't plan on selling anytime soon.

The card with the lowest print run is #796 Ezequiel Tovar (1,048), however, I'm sure there are fewer complete sets.

Personally, I've been collecting since summer 2018, and I'm still missing 6 of the first 8 cards.
