Have to get T to the airport later. I told her to find out if the flight is being delayed due to some of the air traffic controls being disgruntled.

My boss was beyond mad today and had a meeting with me and my two employees here. One of my friends here on contract (stated loosely after today) recently got an out-of-cycle raise because he switched jobs. Knowing that no one on contract got regular raises, this year, he decided to brag to me about his raise. He then came back and bragged to my two employees. One of the employees decided to use that information and ask his subcontacting company for a raise. They in turn went off on our company as to why this employee could get a raise when no one else did and are now demanding to see rates.

Of course after my "friend" was blasted by my boss, he claimed I was on the only one he told and I must have told my employees. In the discussion, both of my employees volunteered that this other guy both bragged to them about his raise. My boss then had to apologize to me because when she opened the meeting she shot accusing glances at me as being the one who spread his salary around.

Josh deserved that raise.

I won't judge if fire trucks gave him a raise.

Don't know what happened, but gas skyrocketed here in VA. From $2.52 on Tuesday to $2.95 yesterday.

Going to be 57 - 52 during trick or treating tonight. It's sp nice living in a neighborhood where tons of kids go out. I'm sure FT JR is going out with his friends and will be back for the game.

There are plenty of middle-aged teenagers who still go out and trick or treat.

Don't be an old grump. Better to give them a candy bar instead of them doing something nefarious to the compound.

Or tell them to go get a job instead of getting free handouts.

Or maybe let them be kids and have them concentrate on school and sports.

Parent them better if they need candy to stop them from doing something “nefarious”.

Trick or treat ends at 12 or 13. They can dress up and hand candy put in the FF.

We do one bowl of candy for the kids and one bowl of fruit for the middle-aged teenagers.
