For last year's Prizm, you can buy almost 2 blaster cases for one hobby box. A Mega case costs less than two hobby boxes.
I believe it's because Prizm retail offers hardly any value -- you're basically just setting money on fire.

Always has to be some grifter involved a big sale thats like 80% higher than it should've gone

"funded" or "scammed?"

bet that interest rate outperforms that lynch card long term

This. I bought several blasters of 24-25 Prizm (don't ask me why) and out of the 6 or 7 I bought, the best card I got was a Stephon Castle silver Prizm. Everything else was barely quarter box material. Even if I send it to PSA and it gems, I'll barely break even on the money I wasted.

Value is relative to price. If prices go down, ROI gets better.

Did you buy them at MSRP? If so, I agree. Right now, you can have them at 50% off. Would you be happy with your break at those prices?

Spend $25k for a week in NYC where my toddler and wife might get stabbed on the street by a random homeless illegal?

Or spend $50k for a week in Maui where it’s always 70 degrees and sunny, with the best fresh food in the world, everyone is nice as can be, and the crime is nil?

Really difficult choice which city I want to support.

Where are you going in NYC? Taking your family on a 3 am tour of East Harlem?

Is there a difference between getting stabbed by a homeless citizen or a homeless illegal? That was not called for and that should be taken down by moderators.

You live in a bubble of suicidal empathy that only a coastal liberal is capable of. You can even do a quick search of your favorite liberal rag and find countless incidents of random violent crimes committed by illegal aliens on the streets of Manhattan. I fixed the short hand term for you to the official US government term since it bothered you so much.

Your toddler has about the same statistical chance of being attacked by a shark than being attacked by a knife in the tourist sections of Manhattan by a homeless person. Have fun in Maui and don't let your family go into the ocean. Drowning is a much higher risk, especially for a toddler, than running into an illegal alien trying to harm your family.

Ha, very well said. Unfortunately, facts/statistics can’t penetrate such a lack of critical thinking skills.

This is interesting -- over a third of NYC residents and almost half of the labor force is foreign born. So, odds are, if you have a bad interaction with a New Yorker, they're likely to be an immigrant.

I have visited NYC over 500 times in my life, lived there for 3 months, and never saw one act of violence. My uncle was a conductor for metro north and I got free rides to Grand Central. I visited some sketchy places as well at night, which no tourist would ever step into. This narrative that democratic cities are a war zone are not true. In some places the violence is real, but this is not a new phenomenon. Extreme poverty makes for desperation.

Maui is actually not in a great place right now after the fires and I wouldn't go into some areas. Crime rates are up after people's homes and lives were destroyed. Hawaiians also aren't nice to mainland Americans. They pretend to be nice to get your money. Try talking to a native Hawaiian that isn't in the tourism industry and see how nice they are.

Have you ever been there? Most people everywhere are nice to each other. This political narrative has driven a wedge between people and people have now decided to team up. I quit all social media and typically never interact with posts like this anymore. In the real world, if you encounter an illegal alien, they will not try to harm you, but open a door for you. If you broke a leg tripping on the sidewalk, that same illegal would most likely help you out and not steal your wallet as you were in pain. Maybe if people treated each other with respect, we wouldn't have as many issues as we currently do.

I am done with political nonsense on both sides. Wish other people were as well.

My experience being an area with a high concentration and diverse mix of immigrants (a lot who are "illegal"), is they are pretty inconsiderate and clueless about the social norms of native people. They come from countries and cultures with different norms and values.

Just my two cents.

Could be worse, though -- you could run into Jason Voorhees:

And you probably seem inconsiderate to them. When I was getting my Masters degree in physics, I had to work with a diverse mix of immigrants. People from China, India, Ecuador, Japan, many European countries, Russia, and many other places. Guess what, we all liked each other and got along even with our different cultures. We talked to each other, asked questions about our cultures, and respected each other. Sometimes it is hard and difficult reflection needs to take place, but most people have the same core values. I worked with a mathematician from Russia who was a young Earth creationist, which I thought was insane, but we got along great.

Diversity is a great thing, but it is being used as a tool to separate us right now. I was the only white kid that would play pick-up games in the inner city of Poughkeepsie. Made some great friends that I would have never interacted with in my rural high school. This is why I am so violently opposed to what is happening right now. Just my two cents.

Yup. We can all learn a lot from each other. Still doesn't mean we will agree with each other and that's ok. But understanding and compassion goes a long way.

Today even though we're more "connected" through the internet/social media, we're way more distant than ever before. And unfortunately our world leaders inflame that distance by trying to divide us more than ever.

If all of us on these forums were having these conversations in person, they would go very differently.

Everyone gets a lot more courage when they're keyboard warriors.

Also, I've been to a lot of places around the world (including Maui and NYC). If you are smart (don't wander off at night by yourself through places you aren't familiar with), you'll be fine. No place on earth is perfect or crime-free.

So...is the correction over?
