Congratulations to the team and their fans, especially the lifelong ones, in this thread and elsewhere.
Dodgers with their 9th championship have passed the Giants and are now tied for 3rd all-time with the A's and the Red Sox. Next to catch are the Cardinals with 11. Great season, for sure. 3 titles in 6 years. ![]() Next up, 4 titles in 7 years!

Can’t believe I got to go to game 1 last year, game 3 this year. Two of the most amazing dodgers games of all time.

Congrats Dodgers and their fans. That was one of the most enjoyable World Series I remember watching. I thought Toronto had it in the bag the last two games, but the Dodgers found a way to win.

Is anyone getting the 2025 World Series Champions - Los Angeles Dodgers - MLB Topps NOW® 15-Card Team Set?
In 2020 I picked up 2. They had a regular edition and an autograph addition so I got one of each. Got a Walker Buehler Auto I also picked up the Ben Ball set Last year I picked up 2 - No Auto I haven't decided if I should this year. I'm hoping if I wait long enough, I'll realize I shouldn't. Price has definitely gone up. |

I ordered one, and I had enough points for a $40 coupon, which was nice.
It'll be a cool memento of the season. This was the first year I missed the Dodgers RTOD set, but I picked one up cheap after the fact with no parallel, so I still have all the regular cards, less the the lone bonus card which was the Ohtani 3 homer NLCS game.

Thr33Peat incoming……hope everyone and your family’s doing well. I stopped watching NFL so it’s full time soccer nerd season for me officially, so I suppose I didn’t “stop” watching futbol!
That Yamal and Gyorkes fun to watch….kinda like young 22 and Bulldog! 294!

Still in shock, piecing together how that game went Saturday night and how it could have fallen apart in so many places. That catch by Pages gave me flashbacks of the CT3 catch vs the Brewers many years ago. The homeruns by Miggy and Will reminded me of the Cardinals and Phillies that broke our backs back in the day, or even the Nats coming back in 2019 when the Dodgers couldn’t tack on runs. Wow, just wow. What a win guys!

Never mind the ball getting stuck in the outfield wall padding, an indestructible starter, double-plays to end both game 6 and 7, and perhaps strangest of all, winning a road game under the toughest circumstances by a 5-4 score without the offense ever really putting a rally together. They did it by scoring just 1 run in five different innings, 3 solo homers and 2 sacrifice flies. But after all the times the team seemed snakebit from the 30+ years between titles, I'll take it. Congrats, brother!

Also was a sorta bizarre WS for Ohtani. His pitching was just average at best (OK game 4, not so good game 7), and while his overall batting stats are pretty eyepopping (.333/.500/.778 triple slash, 2 HR, 1.278 OPS), he really only had 1 big game (game 3 ridiculousness). Otherwise he was pretty mortal the other 6 games. Taking into account the entire postseason the vast bulk of his postseason success can be boiled down to 3 big games (game 1 WC round, game 4 NLCS, game 3 WS).
But looking back 10 years from now, no one will remember the fact he only went 1-14 against the Phillies and 5-23 in games 1,2, 4-7 of the WS, but they will remember arguably the best single-game performance in the history of baseball (game 4 NLCS), his 4-4 with 9 times getting on base WS game 3, and of course the second WS ring. I think we got to see up close with Shohei this postseason several of the reasons why even if a player IS a unicorn that can both pitch and hit at the highest level, it's probably a better idea that they don't, and instead, focus on one or the other. Even last year, his prolific base-stealing, as a result of his dislocated shoulder from sliding wrong just once, ended up depriving him of some of his hitting ability when it really counted.

Spend money, make money
Bichette at 2B would be pretty dreamy. They need a high contact bat regardless. |
