There are times where they do change it. Sometimes an employee leaves a ton in a row in the Good to VG-EX bucket by mistake. I've had reasonable success getting those fixed by elevating to leadership where its deserved.

They are usually corrected within 2 to 3 days. But, I have had a few take multiple requests before actually being corrected.

Usually using the simplest explanation in the request seems to get it taken care of quicker. Like for your example - just choose "wrong description" and write "Serial #ed out of 10".

Fun Fact : my three biggest percentage flips of all time, and the only cards I've ever sold for more than 20x what I paid for them were of : Javier Vazquez, Rick Wilkins, and Bill Mueller. Lol.

how did COMC go so far downhill so quickly?
Every single aspect of the company feels like it's regressed.

I have been on COMC since 2010/2011. It was awesome back then. Processing was something like $.15, customer service was receptive, and deadlines were met. I understand that fees had to go up and there are bumps in the road but they have fallen off tremendously over the years.

Yea it’s amazing the backlog even *before* the Black Friday madness. COMC being COMC I guess.

You might luck out a little. What happened with my shipment: scheduled to ship 10/23. COMC quietly pushed that back to 11/7. It did end up shipping 10/31, which was around halfway between the original ship date and revised estimate. Also of note, it was one of those things where there were 180,000 items ahead, then went to picking suddenly and shipped- so I always take that items ahead number with a big grain of salt anymore.

Look at what you actually see promoted. I get emails about auction events and submissions all the time. That’s where they’re putting their effort and where the big money is at. Just a few months ago they were actually meeting or beating ship deadlines and even put a banner at top of the page declaring it. A big grading promotion and more auction shipping to prioritze over ‘normal’ customers.

I would think at this point that COMC is ripe for a buyout.

Yeah the shipping department is severely lacking. I requested my first shipment of two cards on 10/18/25 and still hasn't shipping. Started using COMC this fall to unload a bunch of unwanted cards from breaks to trade up for PC items. Hopefully they ship soon, but not holding my breath. Would be upset if the cards weren't for my PC.

7 of the last 8 blog posts have been about auctions services. What ever happened to promoting fixed priced items, which used to be the core of the business.

Hello, I have some questions that some of you might know the answer to before I contact COMC myself.
1. How do some people sell such low priced .25 cards on COMC. With the insertion price at .65 ( was .50) Is there a different Tier for certain sellers and how do you get to that tier. I notice it is a lot of the same sellers.
2. Are there volume discounts at COMC and at what level do you need to be to get them.

Some people send in low-value cards by mistake and eat the loss. More often, the seller bought these cards as part of a port sale and is just clearing them out to offset the cost of the cards he really wanted that were also in the port. Most of these are e-pack transfers.

Also, if the cards are old enough, they may have cost as little as ten or fifteen cents to add at the time they were submitted.

They used to run one a year, but I wouldn't expect one anytime soon since they seem to be overwhelmed.

How do you go about buying/selling ‘ports’ that I keep hearing mentioned?

My Dashboard > Promotions Manager

Read the rules before starting this, and have low expectations. They are normally for account liquidating to leave the site. Some people use them to try and scam by lovemaking cards to extreme prices so that 90% off looks good, but is still 3x what you could buy the same card for from other sellers. Inspect ports to a deep level to verify you're not being baited.

Good luck. Very few ports are worth it. It is a lot of work too. Only a few people seem to know how to make it work on a large scale. If you try, be prepared to take some losses.

Mine is due to ship 11/6 as well and it doesn't appear like it's going to happen with 127k ahead yet. I thought the nearly quadrupled shipping cost would rectify that stuff. Not much yet apparently.

They're getting crushed like everyone else. Still a good site for both buying and selling but the increasing costs are forcing a minor reduction of what I send in. Plus I now need to double the size of my typical buyer shipment to make the shipping cost more economical. Whatever. Not a deal breaker.

A lot of cards were sent in back when submission prices were lower. I think they were as low as a dime very early on. Sometimes sellers send in stuff that happens to not be worth what was expected so they price below cost to get something back. Sometimes they're just blowing stuff out. I'll probably have a 60% off on Cyber Monday and I'm sure some stuff will then be sale priced at chump change. It's the one week I don't give a rip what the stuff sells for. Very high volume sellers can get a listing discount but it's nothing worth writing home about.

For 1, it's been answered 100 times in this thread but why would you contact COMC staff to ask how users price their cards? Seems like you'd be wasting their time.
For 2, there used to be a bulk discount but they'd only consider talking about it when you were going to submit over 10,000 cards and likely multiple times per year. If you have that kind of volume, then email them about it and they might cut you a deal.

For those with reps at COMC are they responsive? Do they send you offers or promos regularly? I heard from my rep once and that has been pretty much it until I got the other email about them ending it.

I used to like COMC but it just feels dead lately. Any larger sellers looking at moving away and then focusing on selling your stuff at ebay? I don't have enough to ship it all back since it is a lot of cards but I just feel like COMC has changed and they do not appear to be correcting it. Anyone actually moving out?

My rep hasn't emailed me in a long time. Not even sure he works for them anymore tbh.

Contact and responses from reps has been pretty slow/nonexistent. That's probably one reason they're discontinuing it.

Thanks for letting me know. Are you guys all still submitting or slowing down? I can't ship it all home but I am thinking of sending higher value items off site and either keeping it or selling it on my own.

I guess its my fault for not paying attention to all the changes but the submission prices as well as the shipping add ons have surprised me as to how much everything has increased.

I can't see sending in more cards with those submission prices right now. Not to mention the fact all fees will probably only increase.

They're changing their shipping address to their Algona, WA warehouse, effective immediately. The change "will reduce handling time and speed up listing" for us with "no shipping changes", and "any packages currently en route to the Redmond address will still be received and processed as usual."

So just be mindful of the address you're using and update any defaults.
