this is a first. My order that completed on Monday got shipped out today. Now that is more normal.

jut an fyi for people, psa said that they are working on unboxing value bulk orders delivered on 9/22. my order was on 9/22 so i'm hoping mine is checked in soon.

lol, I swear they were opening deliveries from 9/22 last week too. It's going to be 7 weeks next week for me. Delivered on 9/29....

Looking at past posts, certain orders that were placed in October are moving faster than September orders at the same service level, which is odd.
Why don't they momentarily pause orders for a week so they can catch up? Or offer optional overtime for their workers on weekends? These long delays are awful.

Finally reached Order Prep and went straight to Research and ID today, Nov 12.

I wish I got the name of the guy I spoke to on the phone, that order moved from research and ID to grading today then to assembly about 2 hours later! To go through dual psa/dna grading in just a couple hours and to assembly in one day, is wild. I did get 3 cards in the order that were no spec info, no grade no charge, 2 of those were 1995 finish line Dale Earnhardt autographs that they have slabbed other copies in the past, but no grade, no charge, I won't complain about it. Probably will send those to CGC.

Here is at least one case where if you call psa, and are nice to the customer service reps, they can potentially help you out.

That order finished assembly today and is in QA checks.
To summarize

IN PERSON drop off- july 15
Checked in and into Research- August 6th
Nov 10- i called and spoke to customer service, nothing promised but they said they would check.... i didn't have much hope but he was a nice guy!
Nov 11th, finished research, finished dual grading, entered assembly
nov 12 finished assembly and in QA checks!

Today marks my 4th week stuck in Assembly.

My card have watched ~2 million other cards get slabbed in front of them the past 20 business days. I envision a giant round luggage carousel with orders randomly dropped onto it, getting randomly picked up by the lone part-time enslabulator technician.

Did a little science experiment

19 card bulk submission to PSA - shipped 10/21 - still not looked by PSA
11 card bulk submission to SGC - shipped 11/3 - logged in 11/11

At the price and turnover time, I’ll likely be moving away from PSA due to their “new” grading and insanely long timeframes.

The LCS checked and said PSA agreed my cards were well past the timeframe so they will get expedited.

Question: at what step in the process are values determined?

So I sent in a 17 card order to be shipped back to me, and 2 weeks later a 21 card order to be vaulted.

Guess which one went to grading first? lol

I have had many recent TCG Bulk orders just sit in Assembly or QA Checks for weeks at a time. Not uncommon these days.

Also, I have a regular order that is now past due. PSA just seems behind at the moment for many tiers.

PSA needs to update their turnaround times for higher tiers. I have a regular order that is now past due. Oddly, my TCG Bulk orders are often finishing a month or more early, but the estimated wait time is 4 months, so I think easier to get them done early.

I hate to say it but they do not care. They know they will still get our cards. I refuse to use their faster more expensive service. It is not faster. Just upcharge me.

Time to consult the crystal ball and get those cards that may drop in value sold so PSA can hold the bag! But with Judge/Ohtani...different story.

I accepted about two-thirds of their offers. A few others I'm still on the fence. The rest I can get more above and beyond fees on my own. Don't need the cash that fast. My next two orders in the pipeline have plenty of cheaper Judge cards that they can take off my hands too. Maybe they will be higher by then.
