Too bad he didn’t play Baltimore a full season like he had in the 13 games in 2025 times all those stats by 12 and you get 156 games some crazy numbers.

Thanks for playing, Big Dumper. We'll see if this catcher can contend for the ROY again in his career. Odds are though, probably not.

So happy to see the voters get it right. Judge definitely deserved it
Come on.. you don’t have to trash Cal. Regardless of his batting average and/or how much you may love Judge, Cal had a historic season for a catcher and it was a close MVP race. I’ve met Cal and he was amazing with the kids. He is just as humble as the next guy. Just appreciate the greatness we witnessed this season from Cal & Judge.

It’s the same as Ohtani I have nothing against him and actually like him but the fan base will take the slightest criticism and go against you like a pack of rabid wolves. Cal did have a great year other than the low batting average and his fielding not as good as last years. If Cal continues to have more seasons like this years more power to him but now it is up to him to prove it wasn’t an outlier. Judge already has 3 MVP’s and 4 seasons with 50 or more home runs. Yes catching is a tougher position than right field but you can’t have a batting average .84 points lower and expect to make up that much ground.

Other than HRs and RBI, Judge's numbers (major numbers) dwarfed Cal's. It's a fact. Cal had a great year, and not for just a catcher. But the difference in his and Judge's HR and RBI numbers aren't big enough to overlook the difference in all the other numbers. Judge is a generational player who puts up record breaking numbers year after year. It's hard to take down someone like that. Granted, Judge is no Ohtani. As a Judge fan I have to admit that. But he's the next closest thing.

No reason to body shame Raleigh -- he seems like a good guy and a hell of a player.

Plus, no one mocks Nikola Jokic for his weight -- his great basketball skills is all anyone wants to talk about.

The best professional athletes come in all shapes and sizes -- even plus-size athletes deserve love.

Question for 2026 AL MVP. If Judge becomes the first 5 50+ homerun season player in history next year and hits around .300, is he the guaranteed MVP?

Foul tip stingers on the legs.
Groveling around on the dirt all game long.
Managing all the pitchers and what they're throwing.
All the gear to constantly strap on/off.
The constant mental focus required.
The pre-game preparation and study for all the opposing hitters.
Far and away the most important non-pitching position on the field.

And like someone already said - working on their tan out in the outfield.
Historical numbers we may never ever see again in the history of MLB for a catcher.

Just hope voters honestly took into consideration all of this.

Outstanding season by both.
Average defensive catcher versus average defensive right fielder, both playing a full season, is a 2 WAR swing in favor of the catcher -- the adjustment is good enough.

Only way Judge could catch Ohtani is if he learned how to pitch.

Tough to say there are too many things to factor in. Judge fatigue another player totally outnumbers him in most stats. A pitcher could win 30 games I doubt it but if I happened I think that would be mvp worthy. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Not really trashing. I'm pudgy myself. He's a big boy, let's just say that. Although not quite as hefty as Billy "Country Breakfast" Butler.

I just think that for catchers, the uphill climb towards MVP is a pretty difficult one (the last catcher to win MVP was Buster Posey, nearly 15 years ago, and he helped lead his team to a championship title)

More power to the Dumper if he can manage to be in the MVP discussion next year, and years after that

How hard is it to see except for HR's and RBI's, Judge beat Raleigh, and rather easily.

The voters got it right people.

Keep debating. It's not going to change a thing.

Judge is the 2025 MVP

There will probably be crying Raleigh fans at least as long as crying Verlander fans that think he got robbed of the 2016 Cy Young.
