What's to prevent someone from filing bogus claims for cards they don't actually own?
Why do you care how they operate if you have no interest in insuring your collection?

You don't want to go to jail.

Where did I say that I had no interest in insuring my collection?

I definitely have interest in insuring my collection, but ONLY with a company that I can trust would definitely pay out a claim were I ever to file one.

So far, nobody on this thread has posted any info about filing a claim and/or actually getting it paid out. And that, combined with the fact that the company doesn't even require you to send them an inventory list, does not instill me with a lot of confidence.

Without any inventory list, what's to prevent them from asking you to prove ownership of an item if you file a claim (which would of course be impossible if the item has been stolen/destroyed).

Do you send your homeowners insurance an inventory list every time you buy a new laptop? TV? Picture on the wall?

I bet you don’t

Proof of Ownership applies to every claim no matter what it is

I send my PSA registry to my agent 4 times a year but none of that proves I own the card

You’re thinking way too much about this

Unless you want an insurance company to also inventory your house

This guy gets it, actually relatively easy.
