Interesting launch strategy from Probstein.
Nothing says trust our new site, like a bunch of trash AI generated images.

I sygned up and started bydding because he’s using a ‘y’ in place of the ‘i’. It’s so cool.

Not sure I will participate but do I have to use THE APP? I prefer using Chrome and not loading up on APPS. I was directed to a screen to download the APP after just wanting to establish an account. Then I couldn't download the APP from the Play Store. It didn't work. If you are a buyer - have at it! Making it hard to join means less eyeballs and lower prices

Wtf is a Drapt Pick!?!? Those images are super gross, they get worse the more you look. I can’t believe someone approved those images to advertise a website for trading cards.

DUDE HAS NEVER STOOD BY HIS AUCTION EITHER LOL.

Bought a signed stan lee comic, came shipped in a manilla envelope with no protection, cover was water damaged and ruined. He waited 3 days to respond, declined the return and blocked me BEFORE I could call ebay or file a charge back. I was blocked day one, as I bid $1 just to see if I could bid.

Second time was a slab they shipped loose in a box that got kicked around - I had to use my GF's new account to even try to bid on a 1/1 PC piece. Same deal. "We don't sell the slab, we sell the card in the slab, the slab wasn't mentioned in the listing" which tells me it was probably cracked before he shipped it. This was before ebay authentication.

Unless its a 1/1 PC card, I'm not buying anything. Dudes a scumbag.

The only thing wrong with the authenticity guarantee is that it takes longer to get your card if you're a buyer and longer to get paid if you're a seller.
Seller knowingly lists a card with the wrong description (SILVER PRIZM when its a base for instance) or doesn't disclose significant damage to the card and tries to hide it. AG catches is and kicks it back. Tricky Ricky hates that, so he relists it under lots to not go to AG a second time instead of adjusting the listing and describing the flaw.

I get it, he deals in volume- but when something is kicked back and they explain why- list it in the description.

I'm sorry, so unless I'm a 'super bidder', I'm forced to grade any raw cards worth over $100 after I win them? And it has to go to CGC?

Through a seamless collaboration that offers protection for buyers and sellers alike, CGC is now the Official Authentication and Grading Partner for snype. Any uncertified card that sells for more than $100 through snype will be sent to CGC for authentication and grading, with a turnaround time of 20 business days. If it is found to be genuine, the successful bidder pays the grading fee; otherwise, the seller pays the fee. (Only super-bidders will have the option to decline the grading opportunity.)

Very surprised they don't call them "super-bydders." Huge missed opportunity there.

The AI picture broke my brain. Reminds me of the "identify one thing in this image" AI slop meme. It wrecks me.

The best one is the 68, where it looks like he’s holding a boomerang.

I’m sure they’ll be around market average (if not higher). Seeing auctions end too low would not be a great way to entice sellers to bring their nice cards to this platform. They also take their cut from the final auction price. Also, now that they’re free from eBay, they can create their own rules. Heritage Auctions allows their employees, and even the auction house itself, to bid on lots. It’s a stopgap to make sure nothing good falls through the cracks and goes for too cheap. Similar rules like that could be in place on Snype. Not sure though. This is just speculation on my part. I just wouldn’t expect any major steals to happen. Especially not from an auction house named “Snype.”

We’re experiencing a system-wide technical issue due to high volume that affected all auctions on the platform. To protect the integrity of bidding and ensure a fair experience for every buyer and seller, we are temporarily taking snype offline. All impacted auctions will be canceled and relisted with full visibility once the issue is resolved.
Thank you for your patience, we’ll be back shortly

what a load of garbage, the site was dead.

I won a couple of items on there for peanuts, and hours later I still had no way to pay for them, they didn't show up in my purchases either. Only way I knew I wasn't dreaming is that the listings were still in my history.
