Based on the inclusion of Bowman and Pro Debut, it looks like you are taking rookie card to just mean first base card. Is there a reason you have the Draft Gimenez instead of the Bowman below that was released earlier? I'm assuming it is just an oversight which is bound to happy across thousands of cards. On the base vs. insert, it's clear in cases where there is an insert in the same release as the first base, you choose the base. What do you do in a case like Bobby Witt Jr.? His first card was an insert in 2019 Best and his first base came in 2020 Bowman.

Baseball makes no sense - so I just buy what I want and/or what people tell me I should buy because it's a rookie card

Ironically, compared to most cards during that time, I bought that one during Covid for like $600 on Facebook

Most are in the $1,300 - $1,500 range right now
