Exactly there’s no way it sold out @1750. It’s half of the price they started at fanatics just decided to pull them and sell them to the breakers instead.

I wonder if it sold out or topps pulled it to keep value high for the breakers.

It's all fun and games in the past joking about Panini pulling FOTL product, whether true or not, whatever. Always fun to speculate.
But dead serious, that really may have been pulled today. 100% there was a predetermined price to move stock to breakers had it gotten to that point. Because they know what spots will bring in in breaks. |

Yes I was 100% wrong to be optimistic. All the Topps and Panini good friends will have plenty available for sale for $2200-$2500 a box.

Having been in groups before that can see boxes sold on back end, I’m 100% sure that these groups can tell if the whole run was sold or not. So I tend to believe some of the posts above saying there were 1,800 boxes left, which is over half the print run not sold through the auction.
You’d have to think if someone actually pushed a lawsuit on deceptive business practices or monopolistic practices that Fanatics would have to show the data on this sort of thing. Man I’d love to see that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They literally did about 10 things worse on this than any Panini auction in the 6 year history. Even if only 3000ish boxes and not way more with that parallel /8 being 3 cards versus 1 there is 0% chance more than 65% of the boxes sold and even thats pushing it. In retrospect I wish I would have bought at the 2 drops above the last 2 just so I could see if there were less than 150 total orders. The only plus for me at least was I got more boxes than if they would have done their regular drops now with the full sure grand total of limit 1 per customer.

I was actually considering buying one (to sell) if it got down to $1500. Thank you Topps for stopping me.

Sarcasm? In recent years most FOTL releases have been manipulated to not hit floors that were at or below Hobby presell, although more through only loading part of the print runs rather than so obviously pulling thousands of boxes people knew were loaded right at a price drop. Topps/Fanatics need to learn a little more stealth to their price fixing lol. |

1 measly jumbo for you pre-order folk, 32 (um, I mean 64) for those whose financial capabilities in 1 transaction equate to a year's salary for most.
Absolute shitshow for this product, and in the "long" run interest will fade (not the price, just the interest) |

Bumping the QTY to 64 fifteen minutes in from 32 at the beginning is all we needed to see.

It "sold out" the second it hit $1625. There were very few orders with at least 2 minutes and change before it sold out. A fraction of the amount of people that were interested in this even knew about it. No email today or yesterday. No mention on Twitter or Insta today. Wasn't even on the Topps front page until this morning. With a 32 limit until it hit $2000 I can guarantee you even the people willing to spend and buy alot were not buying because of that hard limit. Why would they all of a sudden bump the limit from 32 to 64. Because people were buying? It's because they weren't buying. I'd be shocked if even 100 boxes sold above $2125. There are no cases there is no case premium. Why would anyone buy in big amounts early? Drops only lasted 3 minutes versus 5. You couldn't add to cart early. You could only buy at the price shown. So no one got an order at $1625. Im sure Im missing a few. |
