People upset because LA Knight did not win. People need to accept LA Knight is a midcarder. It's clear the WWE plans to give Gunther a huge push after Cena something that was never going to happen with LA Knight so there was no point in having him win.
If anything this is a chance to turn LA Knight heel. I think LA Knight could be bigger as a heel like Drew became. |

I really think this mindset is flawed even if it does seem to be how WWE also feels. There's no reason someone under 30 shouldn't be in your main event scene. I think that has hurt WWE to a degree recently and hopefully will be fixed with Bron finally moving up to main event. But just look at the women's side, Rhea is one of their biggest stars and she's still under 30 and been in the main event for almost 5 years now. Tiffany has been pushed as a main eventer for almost 2 years straight now and she's a year younger than Oba. Or someone like MJF same thing, still only 29 and been main eventing for years now. No reason to let someone's age arbitrarily hold them back. I think Oba pulling off the upset would be a perfect way to end Cenas last show. Obas already proved he can carry a main event in NXT, why not take a chance on making a new star when you have the opportunity? |

Another troll who calls names. But then I should I expect with the people like DRZman, JustinVerlander, Cdubs all the do is attack people with insults on this forum. Has to be sad that is all you guys do on these boards.

It's not worth fighting with you. I know you are a AEW fan that will defend AEW to your last breath. While WWE right now has not produced much of anything good AEW has not even been a viable second product to watch IMO.

![]() What about my post was "defending" AEW? I was simply stating obvious information...which would have been obvious to you, if you would have done an ounce of "research" before posting ![]() I haven't even watched AEW in like a year

You guys are stupid arguing about the AEW stuff. It's 2025. Not 2005. There are a million options for a wrestling company to have a television and/or streaming platform. There were a fraction of that 20-25 years ago. As long as Tony Khan wants to run a wrestling company, AEW will always be in business. Maybe they won't be airing on TNT and TBS but they will be airing somewhere. The nonstop online "oh ThiS iS the DeATh of AeW" crap Im reading is nauseating. Just shows how many stupid people there are in this world.

I think Gunther beats Cena and that leads to a feud with Brock. Probably goes until Mania with Gunther winning and finally getting over the hump in a big match.

If beating Lesnar is what gets Gunther over the hump what's the point of Gunther beating Cena? There is literally no point besides to piss off 15,000 fans that on average paid the highest price for an arena show in wrestling history and millions of other fans. Cena has to win. He's not going to lose his last 2 matches.

You could do everything without Gunther vs Lesnar without involving Cena at all. Also, they are hurting their business with paying customers go forward if Cena loses this match. I'm saying this as a paying customer paying over $1,000 to go to this show. I'm not even really a Cena fan. I used to root against him non stop. Can't imagine what people that really care about Cena will think. Ticket prices at an all time high. Especially after Peacock loses WWE here finding and trying to watch everything the most expensive it's been and hardest to find everything. Last edited by mossoholic; 12-06-2025 at 05:42 PM. I gotta agree, I just don't see Cena losing. This face run has helped saved the meh heel one and it's only solidified that people want to see him do his spots and overcome the odds one last time. Plus with the match being the opener instead of the closer., imagine how pissed that crowd will be the rest of the show if you beat Cena match 1.

While a Lesnar feud would be great, I don't know what's next for Gunther after this match but I'm very confident that he's going to win. Cena has talked a lot about wanting to leave the business in a better place than when he started and he's even built the rest of the card around showcasing the next generation of NXT talent. It couldn't be more obvious that he's planning to put Gunther over on his way out.

^^^ Don't know how likely Oba will win, but imagine how much a win over Cody (even a non-title bout) can help him.
The more I see others' comments, the more I feel now that Cena will win. Being a 2-time world champion (new-WHC belt no less) and the longest IC title reign holder, Gunther doesn't really need this win. Cena losing his 1st main roster match also makes me think that the win-coming-in/loss-going-out unwritten rule applicable to many wrestlers could flip for him.

I personally think Gunther wins but not by making Cena tap out but rather passing out ala Stone Cold vs. Bret Hart. That way Cena loses but can still say he never gave up which is his stupid motto.

I think Gunther will win on a roll up. I also don't think it's Cena's last match.
I think Drew McIntyre will interfere in the Oba vs. Cody match. |

Assuming the match is fine or better, this is 100% Cena's last match or at least his last match night. Every wrestler that has ever come back has come back because of money. Cena doesn't need the money. He's worth almost 9 figures.

With Ricky's loss to Oba last night could it be possible he's heading to the main roster and it was him in the hoodie that gave Punk the stomp during Wargames or are we still thinking it's Austin Theory?

Tonight's card for RAW:
AJ Lee vs War Raiders Rey Mysterio vs Finn Balor Gunther Promo Lyra Valkyria vs Roxanne Perez Stephanie Vaquer Promo I think tonight is going to be an NBA night and then I'll read recaps and watch highlights tomorrow morning lol. I actually like everyone involved but there's no interesting stories going on here. Hopefully once the Cena retirement tour is over WWE can focus on getting some good plotlines going for the Rumble and Mania. |
