I'm not sure I'd be able to help you, I usually round file my Soto cards. Once a Yankee = Forever tainted.

Can anyone explain this Ryanscardss llc thing to me. He's grossed 12.9 million in the last three years from running a discord channel, someone sues him for $240,000 and now he's filing for bankruptcy? I feel like I'm missing part of the story.

Also, big warning sign, if a seller’s boxes are filled with one touches, they’re asking $5 for a $1 card.

That’s a trick a buddy of mine uses — a $5 box of cheapo cards in a one touch. People are mesmerized by mag cases for whatever reason.

Went to the Westminster show this weekend. I was a little leery about going to this show because last time I went it was treated as a big deal and had maybe 70 tables as best. Advertised 400 and while I don't think it was that (unless you count the tables designed for some trade night stuff) but it was significantly bigger than before. Probably 50/50 sports and TCG. Most of the sports stuff was same old dealers but a few new ones. Didn't see a lot I was looking for. Didn't help that apparently some jackass was in the mood to buy all the value boxes on Saturday morning. Twice I couldn't look at a bunch of cards because of that. One dealer had a ton of what I was looking for but the idiot was charging $5 for base and regular insert cards because hey they are in a one touch magnetic holder . If you are doing that dealers you are an idiot.

Frustrating thing is that there was a show only 10 miles away from my house where I basically got the same number of cards at a 50-60 table show in Manassas then I did driving 90 minutes for a 300-400 table show.

For people that frequent fairly large (400+ table) shows on a regular basis, how have you found the environment on Sundays? As it's usually the last day of the show, have you found the dealers are more willing to negotiate as it's the last day (maybe sales haven't been what they expected and they want to get what they can last day)? Are dealers still interested in buying inventory compared to Friday or Saturday?

Just interested in what people have experienced. Thanks! Looking to hit the Philly card show this Sunday if time allows.

The real scam is buying One-Touches new, shocked to see how much dealers charge to later find out you can buy this crap in bulk for .20-.30 each.

The group that does the monthly card show around here is putting on its very first "pokemon only" show this weekend.
Sunday only. 4-5 hours. Before and during the Bills game.

Don't plan on attending, pokemon isn't my thing, but it'll be interesting to hear if they get enough traffic to have another one...

They'll have to host the next one at Highmark Stadium. I'm looking forward to the videos of Bills Marfia table diving dressed as Charizard.

Bismarck (Central Dakota) show on Saturday was well attended in spite of a snowstorm yet fewer eyes than the previous. Good mix of slabs, sorted player/team boxes, bargain bins, etc. My kind of show. I almost emptied the wallet after five hours of plowing through stuff. Found some stuff to grade, some stuff for eBay, some stuff for COMC, and a few cards to keep. Perfect.

I'm noticing a lot more card shows popping up in the ND,SD,MN,IA area but no sign the show circuit has saturated in these parts. Bigger 85+ table local show January 24th. I suspect that would be the most tables at any ND ever outside of the big one they started doing annually in Fargo (that kind of sucked the two times I went).

Went to Philly show today. much better show for me than last time for me. They have added about 60 or so tables to the left of the main area. Most of them are buying stations (like CardsHQ) and TCG but there is room for another 10 to 20 tables. the upper area near autograph have expanded as well. It is goid that Philily show is expanding while the CSA Chantilly is dead.

Normally when I go on Friday at 1, I'm done by 5:30 or 6. This time I was there until close (at 8) and I didn't even get the chance to sort through my favorite dealer's bargain boxes. Helped that more than 3 dealers had some hockey to go through.
A very, very nice mix of all sports, vintage, high end, bargain boxes, signed mem, signed photos, sealed and pokemon at the Philly show this time around. Multiple tables for everyone, I even saw a couple tables with PWHL. Felt like a mini-National. Now for the fun part if you're a doomer: only a couple of dealers I saw had absurd prices, which means a lot of stuff was priced to move. That is usually not the case.

Sports cards show packed with pokemon - many couldn’t even find parking in the underspaced venue.

The pokemon folks will travel and show up. Squeezed out the 25% sports cards space.

Horrible experience for someone looking for baseball cards.

Spartanburg SC show was packed today. There were tables I never got a chance to look at.

I went to the bullpen show last saturday - it wasn't that crowded and it used to be a 2 day event - free admission so wonder if that was a factor in them consolidating it.

Bunch of dealers were in selling mode which I would say is the first time I've been there and was able to negotiate a bunch

I hit the Philly show today. Solid show, definitely packed. Found dealers to be reasonable on the prices and willing to negotiate. This is becoming a show that's hard to see it all in 1 day. I definitely didn't hit all the tables and that was not even doing any bargain bin diving. Future tip, don't try to head back to the DC area the same time the army/navy game ends. I should have stayed another 1-2 hours at the show instead of sitting at the tunnel in baltimore!

Was looking forward to the Philly show today but unfortunately the snow got the better of me. Was wondering what the crowd was like and if some of the dealers didn't show up?
