Gunther already got a huge push? He was WHC for almost a year and IC champ for almost 2 years. Besides beating Cody at Wrestlemania (currently no setup), what "push" can be bigger than that?

LA Knight is only a midcarder because that's where WWE deems him, but this trend of Knight just falling short is getting old especially for a guy that probably doesnt have a lot of time left. And no, I don't think this will create a storyline of any kind since it never has in the past.

LA Knight isn't a midcarder, at worst he's an uppermidcard guy, he's consantly in main events and wrestling top guys, him and Jey Uso are very much in the same spot with the difference being Jey won the Rumble and held the title for 2 months. Obviously the issue for the IWC is they want Knight to be Super Cena, but that's not really reality. I'd love for Jey to get Super Cena booking, also not reality. (though Jey is FAR more popular and over)

See, I think Jey had his time in the sun... good for him. But I agree that they are in the same limbo area because there's currently too many guys at the top including part timers. Drew McIntyre is another guy that I want to see get a big heel push with the belt, I certainly think it would be more entertaining than what we have now.

Drew's booking has been criminal for him to not have had a real world title reign in the last 2 years (not counting the win at Mania just for the Priest cash in)

The bizarre part to me with people who complain about Knight's booking is that they tend to blame HHH as if they forget that HHH changed LA Knight back from Max Dupri, so clearly he doesn't hate the guy or anything. Not everyone can be champion, Knight is fine, if he won a world title it certainly wouldn't bother me, but he's not in a bad spot as it is.

but that doesn't mean he isn't realistically still looked at or seen as a midcarder (or uppermidcarder if you wish) because there always has to be a few of those wrestlers to be in stuff like tournaments, #1 contenders, etc. who can wrestle but always lose to the top guys. He's simply in these matches to come up short, not really rise up to be part of the elite of the company

When I think of a midcard talent, I think of someone like Rusev, Carmelo Hayes, Nakamura, Finn Balor (2025 version anyway) etc. LA Knight is not similar to those guys for me. I differ on that by if you take LA Knight, and wanted to program him tomorrow with CM Punk for the title, it's believable and majority don't scoff at it. If you took Rusev and did the same thing most would think it's a joke.

I really hope the rumors of Cena's match going on first at SNME are false.
That building will empty out as soon as that match is over if true and I'd hate to be someone who paid scalper prices to get into the building...

I am thinking that by his match going on first, that it sets up for something to happen later in the show that Cena comes out for.

Not buying that at all, how do you go from having a meltdown to just forgetting about it and lowering down to the tag division? I think this is furthering whatever story they are doing with him.

If I had to guess, they lose a tag match and it's the catalyst for whatever they are doing. (At least I hope, because putting your most over guy on RAW in the tag division would be stupid).

And honestly, Jey and Jimmy as a team are just bigger than anyone else in the division for this to be anything but temporary.
