I started collecting basketball cards in the late 90s. I have just about every basketball card I've ever bought, whether it was pulled from a pack/box or won on an auction. I recently decided to grade and sell a few to fund the purchase of a card. This is my first time ever submitting cards to be graded, so I decided to send them in via a local PSA drop-off event on 10/31. Here is the first result I got back, a 1998 Bowman's Best Dennis Rodman Atomic Refractor, PSA 9, pop. 3 higher. I have a few more that should have the grades available late Dec. or early Jan. I'll update this post when those grades become available.
![]() ![]() Grades for these popped today, 12/9, earlier than I expected. Thought this Ray Allen might get a 9, but I didn't notice the surface defect on the O in Boyz before I submitted it. ![]() ![]() I expected this grade. Bottom front edge was rough.

Thats a beautiful card. PSA has gotten very difficult on refractors from that era. Great grade. Congrats.

Nat is the only one that gets 10s on 90s cards so you did well

On another note, the PSA estimated value (moderate confidence) on the Molten Metal Fusion Reggie is $201.88, but they offered me $234.91. Opinions on the offer?

Best I can tell there has not been an 8 sold in over a year. A 9 did 375 in October, 303 in June. Given that you do not pay any fees on the offer, it doesn't seem terrible.

Thanks for your input. I’ve decided to try to sell it on my own or through a different consignor. Given the recent PSA controversy, I can’t support the PSA buy back program.

If Nat buys them back, they could become 10's!
