Default Need Advice on a Vintage Wax Pack

I have an interesting item but struggling to properly sell or trade it. It's a 1964 Philadelphia Football Wax Pack, PSA 7 (took me literally 8 months to get back from PSA by the way!). Problem is this is a pretty niche market (vintage football wax) and the few comps that I can find put it around $850 - $1000. It's a beautiful item but I don't collect sealed wax. I'm trying to be patient to get more-or-less full value for it.

Looking for ideas on how to sell or trade this other than typical auction houses. I'm told it's against Blowout rules to sell unopened wax so that's not an option. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That’s a long time to wait for anything to be graded.

I recommend posting this question in the "Let’s see one of your INVESTMENT Wax Boxes - I’ll start...." post in the baseball forum. There are many knowledgeable sealed wax collectors on there that could provide the guidance you seek.

Last one graded PSA 7 sold for $688 on eBay on June 2nd, 2025 at auction.

If you don't want to consign it to an auction company, then putting it on eBay, listing it on another forum or facebook group, or selling it at a show are your other options.

Vintage wax has a pretty big buyer pool, so if priced correctly it will sell pretty quickly.

I can't find any 1964 Philadelphia that sold on eBay. I see two 1966 (a PSA 8 and 7) that sold for close to $1000. Can you share the url of the 1964 that you see sold on eBay?

Thank you.

I didn't see anything in June 2025 but there's a 1964 PSA 7 that sold May 7th, 2025.

No link since it's too old but you can click for a bigger picture of the pack. It's searchable in TeraPeak/Product Research on eBay. I used 1964 Philadelphia Football psa 7

There is a very active vintage wax group on facebook called Vintage Wax and Packs. That will be your best chance.

There is no link to the eBay listing page as it is over 90 days old, but if you search using eBay Research Tools - the June 22nd listing is titled "1964 Philadelphia Football Wax Pack PSA 7".

Thank you, I'll check that out (generally not a Facebook guy but that will get me there!).

I can attest to that Facebook group. It is by far and away the best group out there, with the most knowledgeable people in the hobby with regard to vintage wax.
