I live in California, and in my experience, state-run programs and organizations rooted in Social Science studies are often a waste of time and, more importantly, tax dollars.

With the state's debt estimated at around $1.8 trillion, I’d guess that a significant portion of it comes from these so-called "social experiment" programs that crashed and burned and/or failed in some capacity.

What, you mean socialism? Oh, it's coming. New York's essentially already there. The next domino to fall is surely California.

Thankfully, I'll be long gone out of this state by the time that happens.
