The Evans/Slater vs. AJ/Lee tag match on SNME will now be for the world tag titles.

I wonder what it will be about since almost nothing crazy has happened between where it left off and now.

Ticket prices released for Rumble 2026 in Saudi are insanely low that it makes me consider traveling for when they get Mania. Would be way cheaper than staying in the US.

During his recent interview with CVV, Cena had this to say on the Brock match at Wrestlepalooza:

Quote:
"From my perspective, if the idea is that we're building him up again before he rides into the sunset—maybe in Minnesota—then creatively, yeah, it's going to happen fast. To give someone a mountain to climb, you gotta build that mountain. I'm on my way out. It's not going to hurt me. I'm still a viable draw. It's a great main event. Two titans—see them collide one last time. Sometimes your team gets blown out."

So yeah Gunther is definitely winning on Saturday and then probably retiring Brock at Summerslam.

Cena may want to lose Saturday, but if HHH has a brain Cena will be winning. Although based on how he's booked all year that isn't a guarantee.

Traditionally, WWE's biggest shows they try to send people home happy unless there is a caveat to where it will happen down the line. This is Cena's last match. There is no oh it will happen later or you'll get them next time. This is it. Because of that coupled with Cena just lost and this will on average be the most money people have paid for any wrestling show in an arena in history I don't think they are going to risk hurting the golden goose that has been TKO.

Are you sending people home if his last match starts the show? lol

If it isn't the last match Cena will probably lose. Unless they make it known Cena will speak after the last match of the show, you will also see a mass exodus because there isn't anything after that anyone is paying to see.

It's not like WWE hasn't made permanent stupid bad decisions before. This would rank up there. I can't stand Tony Khan but at least him and The Young Bucks told Sting he was winning his last match. That's one of the best nights I've ever had at a wrestling show and would have been absolutely ruined if Sting lost. Either way, Cena not going on last is laughably stupid.

I'm not even really a Cena fan so can't imagine what the diehards would be feeling if Cena loses. Especially after paying most likely thousands of dollars for tickets, hotel, and flight. For many it would probably be the equivalent of paying to see your team lose the last Super Bowl or World Series they will ever be in. Which coincidentally enough I have done for both.

it kinds of follows WWE's gameplan for this year. How do you go from the great Cena turn, acknowledging the Rock to then go naw I'm good guy now. Or from Ron Killings cutting off his dreads saying respect my name to R-Truth backstage going that was crazy. Or Reed destroying and injuring Rollins to then have Rollins recruit him as part of a team in his return and no kind of payback? WWE dropping the McIntyre 'Bloodline Hunter' storyline to then just start feuding with Priest. Etc., etc. Are they still going with the Bayley split-personality angle?

Yes it would make more sense for them to give Jey the fire to keep pressing to hold a belt (and not tag team ones) but I think a lot of us, our confidence is shot with WWE thinking with reason this year even if they got some others right

I think the fact that Jimmy mentioned how much they, and specifically Jey have lost this year is foreshadowing a Jey heel turn (as much as I think they should keep him a babyface). It wouldn't make any other sense to say how bad you and your tag partner are if there wasn't a story to tell down the line.

The logical story says they get a tag title match (maybe they win the belts at some point), but when they lose the match and/or belts somebody is turning on the other. My first thought was something closer to when Batista turned on Rey.

Cena just said on the McAfee show that his match is as right now going on last but if he shows up tomorrow and is told differently then that's what he'll do .

Cena saying this is it once tomorrow night ends it ends no coming back unlike others who retire then come back later. Made note how some say this could be parlayed into a match at WM saying it's not happening.

I see him doing appearances at special anniversary shows maybe even a guest referee spot down the road. But I do believe him when he says he is done in a full on wrestling capacity.

Good ridence and goodbye !!!

P.S. Please take Sami and Dollar Store Stone Cold with you

Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes have a promo battle.

Je'Von Evans beats the Miz.

Yeah, the future is now.

Cena's last match is going to be well worth the $10.

I'm very interested to see how tonight goes and I haven't really been interested in anything wrestling related since probably Wrestlemania...

In my opinion, while I put a lot of the blame on The Rock for taking his ball and going home, the WWE has really fumbled Cena's retirement run...

Hope they learn from this cause they could possibly have three retirement tours on their hands soon with AJ Styles, Lesnar (rumored) and Jericho wanting one last run...

And Orton has to be right around the corner as well...

Oh I fully expect him to show up once a year or so do some kind of backstage spot or WWE has some kind of red carpet event he shows up at.

I can see when WM goes to Saudi Arabia he is the "host" for WM.

But while Cena was never a guy who expect to give you a 5 star match he almost always gave a 5 star promo. To me that is something I enjoy. To me being able to sell me on wanting to want a match is just as important as the match itself. I really don't care if you have two 5 star spot monkey's who will put on a great match if it's just thrown and they say here is this match enjoy with no build up. But If I am sold on the match for a buildup for a few weeks as long as it's not a dud match I still want to see the match happen because of the buildup. That was what John Cena did.

And I swear...that Cody Cutter is one of the lamest moves I've ever seen
