FT JR calls me on my way home and tells me he hurt his ankle playing basketball. He said the pain was a 7 and that just below the ankle was purple and blue. I told him to take a photo and send it to his EMT mom (who gives better EMT device to non-family members.

) and then ice it up. She calls me and says he needs to go to urgent care. I get home, his ankle is not purple and blue and his pain is now down to a 4.

I asked him to send me the photo from earlier he sent mom and it doesn't look purple and blue.

I told him to keep alternating between heat and cold and we'll evaluate in the morning.

We’re at a brand new hotel. I personally haven’t fallen for nearly 30 years. I’m getting into this brand new pool and slip on the top step. Fell on my side. My wrist has a small bruise. No biggie. One of the guy we are with said he fell on the same exact stair a few minutes before I did.

Now, my wife comes up with her sisters to our room with a bandage on her elbow. She fell getting out of the pool and hit her head and elbow. She has a knot on her head and might need a stitch on her elbow.
As we were waiting for her to get a new bandage, they roll up a girl in a wheelchair who is either passed out or dead.

This is why I’d rather be in Europe. They have slightly more stringent safety standards.

Plan is to go to a card show tomorrow in Spartanburg with my dad. He wants to drive and even though he makes me nervous, I’ll probably let him.
