Was a 2 hour delay and at 7PM, I got the call that school was cancelled. I only saw ice on one area of the backroad outside our neighborhood, but the reasoning was ice on some county roads.

Thanks to my dog, I'm tired today. She woke me up at 2:50 whining at the door. I take her downstairs and let her out. She then proceeds to act like she did on Saturday. Granted it feels like 3 degress out (which usually means she does her business and runs to the door to come in) and she decides to take the tour of the yard and then go sit back down at the bottom of the basement stairs. I can't leave her out in that cold, so I go down there and let her in. She comes upstairs and immediately heads for the backdoor again. I've now been up for 25 minutes, so I lock the backdoor, turn off the lights, and head back up to bed.

After I get done for work, I put dood in her bowl and she comes down to go outside. She does the same thing and now I'm 20 minutes late leaving for work.

Mr JDs school cancelled. Roads are apparently just sheets of solid ice. Kids still habe a 2 hour delay.

Tonight we are meeting the middle SD and granddaughter at Chick-Fil-A for dinner as Santa will be there. Then they are coming back to our house to see Santa come through on the fire truck.

Odd. What are you thoughts on why she keeps doing that? Did she hide food or something in the basement?

Pleasantly surprised to get home to find the oldest actually cleared the snow off the driveway down to the concrete for the most part. Now I need to take care of the 5 foot long icicles hanging off the roof.

At first, I thought there was an animal in the small pile of leaves down there, but when I got rid of them on Saturday so they don't clog the sump pump drain up, there was nothing. I've got no theories as to why she has been going out in the cold for hours sitting by the basement stairs. Yesterday when she finally came in again, she sat next to me at my desk for about 2 hours.

Gas was only 2.38 by us. Overall .04 lower than last year national average.
