Are you stressed? About work? If so, time to find another job.

This county is still a thousand times better than the last one we lived in. I doubt they have cameras in the cafeteria or would have caught that. If FT JR did complain, they would do nothing just like all of the bullying complaints. I know 2 other kids who have been bullied in that school system and in every case, the schools did nothing no matter how loud the parents complained.

FT JR hasn't wanted to talk about today, so I'm going to push him about it. I just told him I'm here if he wants to talk. Of course he wants to stay home tomorrow because they are "doing nothing at school." Mom told him if he doesn't go to school, he doesn't go to spring training. He thought that was unfair.

So the day got even better when I got home. I walk inside and the place is cold. FT JR claims he doesn't feel it. I go to the Nest thermostat and it's shutting down it's battery backup. Pull it up on my phone and it says the Nest thermostat for the first floor hallway lost power 7 hours ago.

I went downstairs and power cycled the furnace breaker and then went and power cycled the two breakers on the furnace. Success! The furnace starts up, so I go back upstairs to ensure the Nest came back on and set it to 74 to get some heat going. Furnace/Nest dies. Repeat the previous steps and it stays on for maybe 3 minutes.

I called the company that installed it and we have a maintenance contract on it and they'll be out tomorrow between 8 and 12.

It’s just life that has me stressed. All my life I’ve done everything I could to have 0 debt. Paid off student loans while struggling, paid off my car in 18 months, paid off all other debt. Now that I’m looking at my forever home, I’m being punished for doing it. I don’t have enough debt to income ratio or some crap to qualify for a loan regardless of the money in the bank.

Every coach we’ve ever had has my personal cell phone number, which means every parent is able to get my personal cell phone number. That means I get constant calls and text about stupid crap that they think is important or things they want to complain about.

There’s other stuff too, but I won’t overshare.

Not going to lie, there’s days I think about pulling a Forrest Gump and just start running.

I have been in the mortgage business for, going on 25 years now. Dumb, but obvious question, are you a veteran? If yes, try VA financing. Their DTI parameters are much less prohibitive, especially for FTHB's

Even non-veterans may be able to assume an existing VA loan, but you need to qualify under certain conditions.

I’m not. Every loan I’ve applied for has basically said everything looks good to them except I haven’t had any debt in almost 3 years and it doesn’t look good to them to see 0 debt.

We were in a meeting one day doing one of those “what’s something you think about sometimes” sharing activities. Everybody else said basically the same thing. When I went I said sometimes I think about selling everything I own, buying a camper, and just hitting the road. People had shocked looks on their faces but I was 99% serious.

Get a new cell number and don’t give it out to anything dealing with work. Only your boss, friends and family.

Not much to worry about anyway as the furnace for the second floor where the bedrooms are still works so we'll have plenty of heat to sleep with. That's why I didn't panic and have them come put immediately and pay a $100 emergency fee.

I would hope his wife has better food available at the B&B and maybe she just doesn't allow glen to eat it which is why he goes to gas stations so often for his meals.

We know his favorite pizza place closed, so he's still down over that.
